The BIM Manager serves as a firmwide resource responsible for advancing Pfluger’s design technology capabilities by building and maintaining BIM systems, standards, workflows, and training programs. As both a technical expert and internal educator, the BIM Manager brings a deep understanding of architectural processes to create practical, stable solutions. Balancing strategy with execution, this is a hands-on role that defines firmwide standards and systems, owning their implementation and actively supporting teams in applying them. Through training, troubleshooting, and system refinement, this role drives consistency, reduces friction, and ensures that technology continues to evolve alongside the needs of the firm.

Role & Responsibilities:
Design Technology Leadership & Standards
  • Embody Pfluger’s core values. Consistently demonstrate the principles of Do What’s Right, Build Synergy, Make a Difference, and Never Settle in all professional activities.
  • Establish, build, and own firmwide BIM standards, templates, and workflows and evolve them over time to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across all projects.
  • Build and refine documentation systems and content libraries, ensuring resources are current and accessible. 
  • Continuously evaluate workflows and opportunities to improve efficiency and quality across the design technology ecosystem. Coordinate implementation with discipline directors and leadership. 
Training, Onboarding, & Support
  • Lead the development and delivery of onboarding and training initiatives related to BIM tools and workflows, ensuring employees are equipped to work effectively within firm standards.
  • Develop and deliver structured training that elevate the technical proficiency of project teams and close firmwide knowledge gaps. 
  • Serve as a teacher and resource in real-time support and troubleshooting.
  • Provide guidance on best practices, modeling strategies, and tool utilization to support high-quality project outcomes.
  • Support teams in navigating advanced BIM tasks, ensuring solutions are both effective and aligned with firm standards.
Platform Management 
  • Administer and manage BIM-related platforms, including project setup, user access, and system organization within cloud-based environments.
  • Maintain and upgrade BIM content and templates in alignment with software updates, code cycles, and evolving project requirements.
  • Partner with software providers to ensure tools are effectively implemented and supported. 
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends related to BIM and design technology.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance the firm’s ability to deliver high-quality, efficient, and forward-thinking design solutions.
  • Collaborate with Pfluger’s leaders to support the evolution of design technology capabilities. 

Experience & Qualifications:
  • Alignment with Pfluger’s purpose of “inspiring people to create a more meaningful human experience,” with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience working within an architecture firm, with a strong understanding of how BIM tools support project delivery.
  • Experience developing and managing BIM standards, templates, and content libraries within a professional environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk collaboration platforms is required. 
  • Proven ability to build, implement, or scale systems, standards, or workflows within a professional environment.
  • Proven ability to train and support team members with varying levels of technical proficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and levels of experience.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfort operating independently and taking ownership of both strategy and execution. 
  • Professional degree in Architecture required. 
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience within an architectural environment.
  • Architectural licensure or progress toward licensure is strongly preferred. 

Location:
The BIM Manager must be prepared to commute 3 days per week to Pfluger’s local office and as required to Pfluger’s other offices.
