Seeking a Boilermaker for fabrication, installation, and maintenance of HRSG and Simple Cycle systems, requiring hands-on skills and 1-3 years experience.
This is a remote position.
*Summary:*
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boilermaker to join our dynamic construction team specializing in the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and Simple Cycle systems. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality assembly of complex pressure vessels and piping systems in power generation and industrial facilities. As a Boilermaker, you will work closely with engineers, welders, and project managers to deliver precision installations that meet strict industry codes and safety standards. Your expertise in reading blueprints, operating heavy equipment, and executing complex welding and fitting tasks will directly impact project timelines, system performance, and overall operational reliability. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position ideal for a motivated professional with 1–3 years of relevant experience in industrial or power plant construction.
*Responsibilities:*
- Interpret and follow detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications for HRSG and Simple Cycle systems
- Fabricate, assemble, position, and install boiler components, headers, drums, and piping systems
- Perform precision alignment, leveling, and shimming of heavy equipment using hand and power tools
- Conduct in-process inspections and coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with ASME, API, and project-specific codes
- Operate cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently to lift and position heavy components
- Collaborate with welders and pipefitters to ensure proper fit-up and joint preparation prior to welding
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Adhere strictly to OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and site-specific safety plans
- Participate in pre-job safety meetings and report hazards or near-misses immediately
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in boilermaking, industrial fabrication, or power plant construction
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Demonstrated ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, levels, micrometers, and alignment tools
- Experience with welding fit-up, alignment of large pressure vessels, and installation of HRSG components
- Knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
- Valid certification in rigging, crane operation, or equivalent (if required by project)
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in challenging environments, including elevated platforms, confined spaces, and extreme weather conditions
- Commitment to safety and a proven track record of following safety procedures
- Willingness to travel and work on-site at remote or industrial construction locations
