Define Brain Co.’s motion vocabulary across brand, marketing, product demos, social, events, and film. Our Mission

Rebuild how the world works, to make institutions work better for the people they serve.

About Brain Co.

Brain Co. builds AI-native operating systems for large, regulated institutions. Each system is built for a specific industry, powered by agents that push real workflows forward. Underneath it all is Atlas, our proprietary platform that keeps customers in control, secure by design, and never locked into one model.

Why Now

Brain Co. is entering its next phase of production deployments on a national scale with an elite team built from Palantir, Google, Meta, and Nvidia, and a growing footprint across government, insurance, health, and financial services.

Joining now means shaping both the company and a new category of applied AI. Every project here ships to production and is expected to create measurable customer value and impact.

You'll work alongside exceptional peers on some of the hardest problems in applied AI. It’s the kind of work you'll still be proud of in ten years from now.

About the Role
  • Brain Co. launched a new visual identity in summer 2026, and the system around it is growing fast: product launches, conference stages, films, demos, and a steady stream of AI-assisted production work. What the identity doesn't have yet is a motion dimension.

  • You'll be the first motion hire on the brand team, reporting to the Head of Design and working alongside our brand and product designers. You'll define how Brain Co. moves: the motion vocabulary for our marketing, our product demos, and the animation principles inside the product itself. You'll also lead our thinking on AI tooling for motion work, deciding which tools we adopt, when we use them, and how we design a visual vocabulary that AI systems can extend without degrading it.

  • This is an authorship role. You'll inherit a young identity system with room to shape its most expressive layer, and your decisions will compound as the company grows.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and own Brain Co.'s motion vocabulary across marketing, product demos, social, events, and film

  • Extend the new brand identity into time-based media, from launch videos and explainer animations to conference visuals

  • Partner with product design to establish motion principles in our product: easing, loading states, transitions, and micro-interactions

  • Build high-impact demos and films that help Brain Co. win new business with governments, healthcare systems, and critical industries

  • Establish our framework for AI-assisted motion production: tool selection, workflows, and a visual system designed to hold up under AI generation

  • Produce finished work yourself. This is a hands-on role, and the reel you build here will be yours

Who You Are
  • A brand designer who animates. Your foundation is typography, composition, and systems thinking; motion is how you express it

  • Fluent in After Effects and Rive. 3D experience (Cinema 4D, Blender) is a plus, not a requirement

  • A systems builder. You've created motion frameworks that other people produced work from, and you can show the system, not just the outputs

  • Able to defend your decisions in live critique and articulate why a choice is right for the brand, not just visually pleasing

  • Experienced owning the motion dimension of a brand, either in-house or as a lead at an agency

  • Genuinely curious about AI generation tools and opinionated about where they help and where they don't

  • Based in San Francisco or ready to relocate

Join Us

Brain Co.'s work reaches governments, hospitals, and the industries that keep countries running. The way we present that work shapes whether the world's most important institutions trust us with it. If you want to build the motion language for a company at that scale, from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.

Location

San Francisco strongly preferred. Regular collaboration with the brand and marketing teams is in-person, and occasional travel to partner sites and Brain Co. offices is expected.

Compensation

Competitive compensation including salary, equity, and performance incentives.
