Reporting into the Brand Design team, this role will work hand-in-hand with marketing teams to concept and execute creative for advertising and organic social, with a primary focus on motion and video assets across social, display, broadcast, and digital channels. What You'll Be Doing:
Work collaboratively with design, copywriting, marketing, social media, advertising, and PR teams to spread the word of AllTrails through world-class creative
Concept and produce motion-first paid advertising creative using After Effects, with occasional video editing in Premiere or Final Cut
Build templates and modular motion systems (in Figma and Adobe tools) that enable high-quality creative to be generated and iterated quickly at scale
Generate effective brand creative with an iterative mindset to drive growth and continuously optimize performance across animated and static formats
Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, translating our brand systems into compelling creative executions while pushing the AllTrails brand forward through best-in-class design
Clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders, co-workers, and external vendors and incorporate feedback quickly
Work quickly and effectively juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
Requirements:
3+ years of professional design experience, with significant experience creating motion-driven marketing and paid advertising creative
A strong portfolio showcasing real-world examples of creative executions for advertising campaigns across social, display, broadcast, and digital platforms
Demonstrated ability to design high-converting animated digital advertising assets for paid social, display, affiliate networks, and video platforms that align strongly with overall brand look and feel
Advanced proficiency in After Effects; working knowledge of Premiere and/or Final Cut for editing and finishing
Strong understanding of motion principles (timing, pacing, typography in motion, transitions) and how motion impacts performance marketing
Experience working closely with marketing teams to understand campaign objectives, target audience, and key performance metrics
Ability to regularly produce high quality communications with attention to detail and strong design fundamentals; can demonstrate a strong understanding of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and how these translate into motion
Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
Self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous remote work environment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Able to take constructive feedback and evolve designs to meet business objectives
Humility, empathy and open-mindedness — no egos

Experience designing for various groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.)
Experience designing localized creative for international markets
