The General Manager for Brazil is responsible for establishing and scaling Kira's presence in the Brazilian market. This role owns all aspects of Kira's business in Brazil: market strategy, government and institutional relationships, go-to-market execution, and team building. Brazil represents a massive opportunity, one of the world's largest education systems spanning K-12, higher education, and workforce development, and this role will determine whether Kira captures it.
This is a country-building role. The GM Brazil must operate as an entrepreneur within Kira, making smart decisions with limited resources while building toward a significant business.

Work with Kira’s partners in Brazil to develop the company’s market strategy, identifying the most promising entry points: federal programs, state systems, municipal networks, private schools, universities, or corporate training.

Adapt Kira's positioning and product-market fit for Brazilian educators, institutions, and administrators.
2. Government & Institutional Relationships

Leverage existing Kira proof points (El Salvador, US deployments) to build credibility.
3. Sales & Business Development
Own revenue targets for Brazil and build the pipeline to achieve them.
Close deals with states, municipalities, and private school networks.
Develop partnerships with local players: publishers, distributors, technology partners, and implementation organizations.
Structure deals that work within Brazilian realities: budget cycles, payment terms, and regulatory requirements.
4. Team & Operations
Build the Brazil team: hire, develop, and lead local talent across sales, customer success, and operations.
Establish local operations: legal entity, compliance, financial operations, and administrative infrastructure.
Create a culture that reflects both Kira's values and Brazilian market needs.
Manage P&L responsibility for Brazil, balancing growth investment with path to profitability.
5. Product & Localization
Serve as the voice of the Brazilian market to Kira's product and learning teams.
Ensure Kira's platform is properly localized: language, curriculum alignment, cultural relevance.
Identify Brazil-specific product needs and prioritize them appropriately.
Work with the Learning team on Portuguese-language content and Brazilian curriculum alignment.
