About Prepared

911 is the backbone of American public safety…but, for too long, the professionals that dedicate their lives to answering our calls have been let down by the technology that serves them. Our mission is to change that.

We aim to ensure that every emergency receives a perfect response; a bold vision requires bold action from our team, working hand-in-hand with the professionals we serve.

Since the public launch of our first public safety product in the fall of 2021, our technology has helped streamline millions of 911 calls in communities around the country. We’ve revolutionized what’s possible in emergency response by applying cutting-edge AI to the most critical challenges facing first responders. Our partners span 49 states and collectively protect more than 90 million people.

Backed by more than $130 million in funding led from investors like General Catalyst, Andreessen Horowitz, and First Round Capital, we're scaling rapidly to become a core component of emergency calls nationwide, driving the future of emergency response toward a safer, more agile system.

At Prepared, you’re not simply part of a team — you’re a key force in a mission that truly matters. Your contributions here will shape the future of emergency services, playing a vital role in creating a safer, more connected world.

Position Overview

As a Data Analyst, you’ll turn raw data into insights that shape how Prepared operates, grows, and delivers impact. You’ll build dashboards and reporting systems that align our teams around the metrics that matter—surfacing KPIs, revealing trends, and supporting smart decisions across Sales, Product, Customer Success, and more.

You’ll work within our data stack (primarily Snowflake), collaborate with stakeholders across functions, and proactively enhance how we understand performance and outcomes. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who enjoys working in SQL and communicating insights to diverse teams and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain accessible, high-impact dashboards that track key company metrics

  • Collaborate with teams to define useful metrics and ensure reporting is clear, current, and easy to use

  • Conduct analyses to answer critical questions across go-to-market, product, operations, and customer experience

  • Translate data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations

  • Work cross-functionally to frame problems, identify data needs, and create reporting solutions

  • Partner with stakeholders to scope and request data integrations (e.g., from CRM or analytics tools)

  • Develop SQL queries and reusable templates to boost analytical capabilities across teams

  • Identify and address gaps in our analytics stack with solutions that scale

What Make You a Great Fit
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or operations—especially in fast-moving environments

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data tools (e.g., Snowflake, dbt, BI platforms)

  • Ability to break down complex questions and design thoughtful analyses

  • Clear communicator who can share insights across technical and non-technical audiences

  • Comfortable collaborating across departments and building trust with diverse teams

  • Proactive and curious—motivated to explore data and build tools that empower others

  • Open to feedback and growth-minded, always working to improve your skills and your team's results

Bonus
  • Experience working for SaaS or B2B companies

  • Experience with tools like Hubspot, Mixpanel, Salesforce, or similar SaaS data sources

  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools like Metabase, Looker, Sigma, or Tableau

  • Experience working in dbt or with modern analytics workflows

  • Exposure to sales funnel metrics, customer lifecycle analytics, or product usage data

Pay Transparency

The base compensation for this role is approximately $170,000 - 180,000 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, company equity grants, participation in Prepared’s unlimited vacation program.
