The Business Analyst supports the execution of Business Systems initiatives by acting as a bridge between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams. They focus on assisting in the translation of business needs into clear technical requirements, maintaining the Jira backlog, and facilitating Agile ceremonies to help ensure the timely delivery of system enhancements.

What You'll Do
  • Agile Facilitation & Sprint Coordination: Facilitates core Agile ceremonies (Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives) and coordinates the daily operational rhythm of the team. Assists in tracking team velocity and identifies potential blockers early to help the team remain focused on committed goals. Provides regular updates on sprint progress and task status to ensure transparency across the project team.
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Assists in documenting clear business requirements, ensuring technical and functional specifications are captured accurately before development. Works with the development team to review requirements for clarity and ensures that the final documentation reflects the agreed-upon solution.
  • Jira Ticket Creation & Backlog Support: Drafts detailed User Stories and Tasks in Jira, including clear Acceptance Criteria and definitions of done to assist the engineering team. Maintains the organization of the project backlog, ensuring tickets are groomed, estimated by the team, and ready for upcoming sprints. Coordinates the movement of tickets through various status stages to maintain an accurate representation of the team's workload.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinates dependencies between Business Systems and other technical teams (Security, IT Infrastructure). Communicates progress, risks, and timeline changes to the Program Manager and business stakeholders, helping to ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Risk Mitigation Support: Identifies and addresses bottlenecks, resource constraints, or third-party vendor risks. Ensures the effective implementation of risk mitigation plans.
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or IT Project Coordination.
  • Experience facilitating software development tasks using Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with translating complex business requirements into technical user stories.
  • Demonstrated experience with Jira boards, including workflow customization and dashboard
  • reporting.
  • A track record of managing conflicting priorities in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Experience assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination for projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Jira and Confluence (JQL, filters, and board configuration).
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Business Systems architecture (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High agency and comfort with ambiguity
