T-Rex Solutions is looking to select a Business Analyst to support our Internal Revenue Service (IRS) EDOS program. The overall mission of this program is to modernize the IRS legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the overall modernization of the IRS to improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the IRS’s reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs detailed business and process analysis to support ECS/EAD (Enterprise Case Selection/Enterprise Anomaly Detection) modernization, analytics, and compliance initiatives.
  • Conducts requirement‑gathering sessions, analyzes workflows and operational procedures, and translates mission needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
  • Supports configuration and knowledge management activities, ensures requirement traceability across agile sprints, and collaborates with product owners, developers, testers, and data teams.
  • Reviews schedules, SOPs, and system interactions to identify gaps and recommend improvements aligned with IRS governance, quality, and documentation standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 4 additional years of experience required without a Bachelor's degree
  • US Citizenship required
  • Must possess an active IRS MBI Clearance and have current GFE
  • Experience with the following: Requirements gathering, business process modeling, workflow analysis, user story development, acceptance criteria definition, Agile/Scrum familiarity, Confluence/Jira, configuration management support, knowledge management, documentation development, stakeholder communication, data analysis fundamentals, SOP development, traceability management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels 
  • Prior experience working on Agile teams

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $83,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
