Job Description

About the role

A Technical Consultant will work as part of a team helping clients get maximum value from monday.com and the Atlassian product suite - including Jira, Confluence, and related productivity technologies such as Slack.

This role bridges two ecosystems: serving as a primary delivery resource for monday.com professional services engagements while also contributing to Atlassian-based work when client demand requires it.

Day-to-day work spans requirements discovery, solution design, hands-on implementation, system integration, and process automation - ranging from configuring monday.com workflows and boards to Atlassian upgrades, migrations, and scripted solutions.

The role includes active participation in presales: contributing to scoping conversations, effort estimates, proposals, and platform demos for a range of client stakeholders. Staying current across both ecosystems - monday.com, Atlassian, and adjacent tools - is a natural and expected part of the position.

What you'll be doing

Discovery and Solution Design

  • Lead early-stage discovery workshops to surface client needs, pain points, and process gaps across monday.com and Atlassian environments.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirements analysis to define clear, actionable problem statements.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to design creative, scalable solutions - recommending the right platform for the right use case.

  • Help clients make informed build vs. configure vs. integrate decisions based on their specific constraints and maturity.

  • Participate in internal knowledge-sharing, methodology development, and delivery improvement initiatives.

Solution Delivery and Implementation

  • Configure and implement monday.com solutions including boards, workflows, automations, dashboards, and integrations across monday Work Management, monday CRM, monday Dev, and monday Service.

  • Deliver Atlassian implementations including installations, upgrades, migrations, and custom configuration for Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and associated tools.

  • Build low/no-code integrations using IPaaS platforms such as Make.com and Zapier; develop scripted solutions using Groovy, Python, or REST APIs where appropriate.

  • Apply change management practices to help clients adopt new workflows, govern their platforms effectively, and sustain improvements over time.

  • Create measurable outcome frameworks so clients can track the before-and-after impact of implemented solutions.

  • Produce thorough engagement documentation including solution design records, findings reports, and handoff materials.

  • Provide training and enablement to stakeholders and end users across both platforms.

  • Perform database administration, system administration (Linux/Windows), and application server configuration as needed for Atlassian environments.

Presales and Client Engagement

  • Engage early in the sales cycle to understand client challenges and shape solution approaches across monday.com and Atlassian offerings.

  • Contribute to scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development for both platforms.

  • Deliver compelling platform demos tailored to the stakeholder audience - from end users to executive sponsors.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact on active engagements, maintaining professional and efficient communication throughout.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and deliverables with strong personal organization and prioritization.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience delivering monday.com professional services engagements for mid-market to enterprise clients.

  • Working knowledge of the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) in a consulting or technical delivery capacity.

  • Experience with system integration and process automation using IPaaS tools (Make.com, Zapier) and/or REST APIs.

  • Scripting experience in at least one language such as Groovy or Python.

  • Familiarity with Agile, ITSM, ESM, and other enterprise IT practices.

  • Experience managing change within a technical environment.

  • Strong written and spoken English; proven ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated experience presenting solutions and managing client relationships directly.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a personal workload across multiple active engagements.

  • Existing monday.com certifications.

  • Self-starting, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced remote environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with system administration (Linux/Windows) and database administration in the context of Atlassian environments.

  • Readiness to specialize in one or more monday.com product lines - monday CRM, monday Dev, or monday Service.

  • Familiarity with Atlassian Marketplace apps, plugin configuration, and scripting frameworks.

  • Understanding of enterprise architecture, cloud and on-prem IT environments, and non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, security).

  • Experience contributing to technical proposals, SOWs, or consulting engagement reports.

  • Familiarity with knowledge management platforms such as Confluence, Notion, or Coda; openness to adopting AI-driven workflow tools as the ecosystem evolves.

  • Experience within a fast-paced professional services or consulting environment.
