The Business Developer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and merchant acquisition. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the market, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver measurable results in a competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across assigned regions and sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key merchants, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Drive the acquisition of new merchants while increasing transaction volumes and retention rates.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential growth areas.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective merchants.
  • Monitor and analyze merchant performance to ensure consistent engagement and growth.
  • Negotiate and close deals that align with company objectives and profitability targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales reports.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–5 years proven experience in business development, sales, or merchant acquisition (preferably in fintech, or banking).
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, POS operations, and merchant management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for sales and business growth.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing large merchant portfolios or key accounts.
  • Familiarity with digital payment solutions, fintech products, and transaction data analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and resilience in handling client challenges.
