Credit Strategy & Opportunity Assessment:
- Assessing credit needs across our portfolio of partners, including trading platforms, market makers, and institutional clients.
- Evaluating a range of credit structures, including working capital, trading liquidity, collateralized credit, and structured financing, with a clear institutional risk lens.
Partner & Product Engagement:
- Working directly with partners to understand their balance sheets, funding models, and credit requirements.
- Collaborating with internal product, risk, legal, and finance teams to design credit solutions that are scalable, operationally sound, and aligned with partner economics.
Cross-Functional & BD Leadership:
- Owning credit across all partner verticals and regions within the global BD team.
- Providing consistent guidance, frameworks, and decision-making support to BD teams engaging in credit-related discussions.
Risk & Governance Alignment:
- Partnering with risk, compliance, legal, and finance teams to ensure all credit activity aligns with internal governance and risk appetite.
- Establishing clear processes for credit evaluation, approval, and ongoing monitoring.
What you'll bring to Circle:
Core Requirements:
- 12+ years of extensive experience in institutional credit, with a background in prime brokerage, private credit, structured finance, or institutional lending.
- Comprehensive experience assessing counterparty risk and structuring credit solutions for sophisticated financial institutions.
- Proven capability in negotiating and securing high-impact strategic deals at a C-level audience level, exhibiting strong persuasive and communication skills.
- Familiarity with generative AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and prompt development.
Preferred Requirements:
- Previous experience with on-chain lending, including key players, products, and trends.
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.
