Business Development Representative: Fast-Paced. Target-Driven. Unapologetically Outbound.

About You

You have a hunter’s mindset. You don’t wait for permission or perfect conditions; you create momentum wherever you go. You’re wired for action, comfortable with pressure, and energized by the pursuit.

You:

  • Excel in high-velocity, results-first environments
  • Push relentlessly until you get a clear yes or no
  • Own your numbers, your process, and your outcomes—no excuses
  • Communicate with confidence, clarity, and conviction
  • Work best with autonomy, accountability, and clear targets
  • Treat objections as conversations to win, not reasons to stop
  • Are driven by progress, competition, and tangible wins

You operate with discipline and urgency. You set your own pace, raise your own bar, and constantly refine how you prospect, pitch, and close. Average effort isn’t in your vocabulary—and neither is waiting around.

What Success Looks Like

In Your First 90 Days:

  • Get to know Prosper CFO
  • Start reaching out to referral partners (bankers, CPAs, etc) and even ICPs
  • Build your own style of outreach—calls, coffee, LinkedIn, networking events
  • Land at least 5 qualified lead meetings by the end of your first three months.

Down the Road (6–12 Months):

  • People in your local banking/CPA/networking world know your name
  • You’re consistently bringing in 8–12 warm leads every month
  • You’ve built a referral network that keeps sending us opportunities without you having to chase as hard.
  • You’ve proven you can be a growth engine for the firm

Your scorecard is simple:

  • Number of Outreaches
  • Number of your outreaches that turns into meetings
  • How many warm introductions you bring in (leads)

What You Bring

  • A 7+ years of B2B sales or business development experience.
  • Comfort in (and maybe even excitement for) the finance/accounting world.
  • You’re self-motivated, resilient, and you don’t need someone standing over your shoulder
  • Solid communication skills—you can hold a room and also send a crisp, professional email
  • Curiosity, hustle, and a competitive edge.

Compensation

We want this role to reward your effort and results. Here’s the deal:

Base Salary: $48k–$60k

You do well → you earn well. Simple as that.

You want to be the highest paid person in the company? Your neighborhood? Earn it.

Commission: 14%+ on the ARR of every closed deal you bring in.

We implement finance teams and systems for companies between $5M and $50M in revenue. Our average client engagement is $120,000 – $250,000 in annual recurring revenue — so the earning potential is significant. Your income is ultimately up to you.

Why Prosper CFO?

We’re not a traditional accounting firm—and we don’t move like one.

Prosper CFO helps driven entrepreneurs scale fast, and we expect the same from our team. This is a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment where decisions are made quickly and execution matters.

You’ll work with a small, ambitious team where initiative is noticed, results are rewarded, and momentum compounds. If you want autonomy, clear goals, and the chance to build a real reputation based on performance—not politics—this is the place. The harder you push, the more opportunity you create. Simple as that.
