Business Development Director– Prosper CFO

About You

You create opportunities rather than wait on them to appear. You like to bet on yourself, and you want a role where the more effort you put in, the more you win. You’ve cut your teeth in B2B sales and you’re ready for something bigger.

You know how to work a room (or a Zoom). Talking with businesses and COIs doesn’t intimidate you—in fact, you enjoy it. You like making connections, earning trust, and turning those relationships into opportunities.

What Success Looks Like

In Your First 90 Days:

  • Get to know how Prosper CFO helps business owners (don’t worry, we’ll teach you).
  • Start reaching out to bankers, CPAs, and referral partners on a weekly rhythm
  • Build your own style of outreach—calls, coffee, LinkedIn, networking events
  • Land at least 5 qualified opportunities by the end of your first three months.

Down the Road (6–12 Months):

  • People in your local banking/CPA world actually know your name
  • You’re consistently bringing in 8–12 warm leads every month
  • You’ve built a referral network that keeps sending us opportunities without you having to chase as hard.
  • You’ve proven you can be a growth engine for the firm

Your scorecard is simple:

  • Number of Outreaches
  • Number of your outreaches that turns into meetings
  • How many warm introductions you bring in (leads)

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience.
  • Comfort in (and maybe even excitement for) the finance/accounting world.
  • You’re self-motivated, resilient, and you don’t need someone standing over your shoulder
  • Solid communication skills—you can hold a room and also send a crisp, professional email
  • Curiosity, hustle, and a little competitive edge.

Compensation

We want this role to reward your effort and results. Here’s the deal:

  • Base Salary: $65,000–$75,000 depending on experience.
  • On-Target Earnings: $140,000–$180,000 your first year (no cap if you overperform).

You do well → you earn well. Simple as that.

Why Prosper CFO?

We’re not a stuffy accounting firm. We're building the teams and systems that help entrepreneurs grow their businesses with clarity and confidence. You’ll be joining a small but mighty group that values trust, ownership, and impact. Around here, good ideas move fast—and if you want to make a name for yourself, this is the kind of place where you can.
