Business Development Lead at Simply Home

Austin, TX (Hybrid/Remote-First)

Simply Home is expanding and we're hiring a Business Development Lead to drive revenue, own the full sales cycle and deliver an exceptional client experience. This is a high-ownership role designed for someone who wants more influence, more visibility and more impact than a traditional sales position. You'll work directly with executive leadership, shape internal systems and contribute  meaningfully to the growth of our sales organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the entire sales cycle: discovery → walkthrough → scope validation → proposal → contract
  • Translate client needs into accurate scopes of work alongside Estimating and Design/CAD teams
  • Communicate proactively with active clients, setting expectations and building trust throughout their journey
  • Strengthen referral networks by partnering with Designers, Architects, Realtors, and community stakeholders
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy (HubSpot, JobTread)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Estimating, PM, and Design/CAD to ensure a seamless project setup
  • Improve workflows, refine processes, and contribute to department-wide scaling initiatives

This Role Is a Great Fit For

Residential Remodeling or Service-Industry Sales Pros
→ You excel in relationship-driven, project-based sales and understand the importance of accuracy, transparency, and expectation-setting.

Real Estate Agents (active or former)
→ You’re comfortable guiding homeowners through high-value decisions and want more stability, earning potential, and control.

Tech / Software AEs
→ You thrive in high-velocity, high-value consultative selling with strong CRM discipline and cross-functional coordination — and want a role with real ownership and measurable impact.

What Success Looks Like

  • You’re always learning and implementing feedback quickly
  • You consistently exceed revenue targets
  • You maintain a 30%+ conversion rate on qualified opportunities
  • You build high-trust relationships with clients and referral partners
  • You manage tasks, timelines, and communication with reliability and ownership
  • You maintain accurate CRM documentation and pipeline visibility
  • You help strengthen processes, systems, and overall sales operations

What You Bring

  • Sales experience (construction, real estate, service, or high-value tech preferred — not required)
  • Strong consultative selling and discovery skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously with precision
  • Systems-minded approach with comfort using CRM tools (HubSpot, JobTread, GSuite)
  • High accountability, strong follow-through, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking initiative

What You Get

  • Competitive base + high OTE + uncapped commissions
  • Direct access to leadership and opportunities for genuine career growth
  • High-autonomy environment — you own your pipeline and outcomes
  • Remote-first flexibility with office days and field visits as needed
  • Full benefits package: company-sponsored health, PTO, mileage reimbursement, tech support
  • Clear impact — your work directly shapes client experience and company growth

Work Environment

We are a remote-first organization with required office days and periodic field visits. This role involves routine computer use, client-facing meetings, and onsite walkthroughs in active renovation environments. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed.
