Job Summary

Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales/Marketing, this position will sell all of Haag’s services by generating leads, building client relationships, provide business development and account management in their prospective regions to the insurance industry and attorneys. Other industries may be called on, i.e., oil & gas, risk management, manufacturing, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Create and complete effective plans for meeting with target clients.
  2. Generate new business leads through networking, attending trade shows, researching, and using internet tools.
  3. Strengthen existing customer relationships.
  4. Meet personal and team sales targets.
  5. Schedule and meet weekly sales goals which include in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and client visits.
  6. Meet or exceed established performance goals in support of overall corporate growth and mission.
  7. Coordinate public relations efforts with professional associations and organizations, and maintain visibility in the local marketplace.
  8. Act as liaison between operations group and the client to resolve issues/concerns, set up meetings, etc.
  9. Communicate with management and operations staff the results of sales efforts and strategies.
  10. Coordinate the regional marketing strategies in accordance with the national sales plan.
  11. Quarterly call and regular communication with National Business Development Manager regarding activity with national clients.
  12. Attend and actively participate in meetings, sales events, and training to keep abreast of the latest developments.
  13. Coordinate in-person and virtual meetings, lunch & learns, and educational events with experts & clients.
  14. Book own travel arrangements, tolerate the demands and potential inconveniences of travel.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent sales experience
  • 3-5 years of Sales experience – Industry experience a plus
  • Specific experience selling and marketing directly to insurance companies and law firms is an absolute must
  • Experience as an independent third-party adjuster working with multiple carriers is a plus but not required
  • Previous experience and confidence with cloud platforms including but not limited to filing systems and virtual calls
  • Demonstrated experience using CRM software required (i.e., Salesforce)

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to execute multiple tasks and meet/exceed deadlines.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high degree of productivity and accuracy
  • Inquisitiveness and sound decision making
  • Accepts and adjusts to changes in work priorities willingly and efficiently.
  • Solid computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Emotional and mental stability to include the ability to receive constructive or emotion-laden feedback without reacting negatively or emotionally

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Travel may be extensive depending on clients’ needs. Must be able to travel and accommodate clients. (50% or more)
  • Ability to drive for long distances and with little interruption (5 hours plus).
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.

Individual will need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for intermittent periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to traveling requirements, file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 50 pounds for files, materials, luggage, or inventory, occasionally.

Primary environment: A combination of outdoor/indoor environment, lighting and traditional home office atmosphere.

Location

Dallas – Fort Worth area role with significant travel; home-office based. Specific territory assigned based on business needs.
