Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager specialized in defense technology and sales to defense agencies.
The primary responsibilities for this role include the identification and successful execution of RFIs and RFQs, managing the full sales lifecycle, and building strategic relationships with defense agencies. This position will be remote and report to the Senior Director of Business Development.
What will you do:
- Establish new business opportunities through active customer acquisition, building relationships with key decision makers and by utilizing your existing network
- Ensure that Aeva is participating in all applicable defense agency RFIs and RFQs
- Collaborate with technical program management, systems engineering and our Tier 1 partners to establish efficient key account teams.
- Define and negotiate unit pricing, one time-cost and terms for development and supply agreements together with our legal and finance teams
- Serve as the primary interface and expand Aeva’s partnerships with defense agencies
- Maximize customer satisfaction by being the voice and representative of your customers within Aeva
- Up to 25% travel, both domestically and internationally
What do you have:
- 7+ years of experience in defense sales and relationships with prime at various levels and government agencies
- Experience in the Defense industry required; Automotive industry experience is a plus.
