Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Enterprise Business Development Manager to join our amazing culture. What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience” 

  • Convergint's greatest strength is our people! Every colleague is encouraged to participate in our Recruit Awesome People program, helping us grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent to the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.
  • Team Leader: Build a cross-functional team with our CTC (Convergint Technology Center) sellers specific to each customer assigned, build a plan, cadence, and accountability feedback.
  • Utilities Champion: Develop and implement strategies to increase market penetration of enterprise utilities security solutions, products & services.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other CDC resources such as Service Sales, National Operations, Vertical Markets, Legal, and Utilities Vertical teams to optimize solution offerings and operations to improve the customer experience and Convergint profitability.
  • Market Development: Identify new business opportunities and partnerships with utilities organizations on defined target list.
  • Enterprise Account Management: Maintain high level decision maker relationships with key customers while developing and executing strategic growth plans.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of Physical Security (PhySec) technologies, with the ability to evaluate and contrast different architectures and technology solutions.
  • Executive Seller: Drive high level relationships with key customer contacts, especially at the executive level of customer’s corporate entities.
  • Contract & Negotiation: Establish and renew key customer contracts and agreements with corporate entities.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Provide leadership in coaching colleagues, reviewing proposals, and ensuring adherence to strategy and contracts.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly meet with leaders to review progress toward growth goals.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as necessary to support Convergint’s utilities vertical and company-wide objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • High performing seller – track record of selling complex deals to fortune 500 or top 50 utilities providers
  • Technically sound – in security technologies & other vertical related technologies
  • Deep domain expert – credibility with utilities customers
  • Executive level communicator – communicates well with executives, peers, and customers

  • Strategic thinker – can put together a strategic plan, build a team, and execute the plan

  • Team player – jumps in to help colleagues and not afraid to roll up their sleeves

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher 

Experience: 8+ years in sales. Proven track record of selling complex solutions to enterprise level customers – ideally large utilities customers.

  • Experience in the security & integration business

Compensation Range: $100,000-$130,000 base salary

Please note that this job posting includes salary information for the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region the requisition is posted. If the position is posted in multiple locations or is a remote position, the salary range may vary. Individual pay rates will, of course, vary depending on the job, department, and location, as well as the individual skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education of the applicant.
