Phillips Corporation is searching for a visionary leader to redefine how manufacturing technology and sustainment services power the future of air and space dominance. This IS NOT a role for standard IT sales or incremental account management—this is about revolutionary manufacturing capability, operational readiness, and strategic mission impact. We are looking for an elite strategist—either a former senior Air Force officer (O-5 or higher) or an accomplished defense Business Development executive with a proven Air Force focus—who instinctively understands the operational realities, acquisition lifecycles, and strategic priorities of the USAF and Department of War/Department of Defense. Your mission: position Phillips as the indispensable partner for advanced manufacturing, turning high-level mission alignment into long-term, high-value contract vehicles that directly elevate force readiness.

As a Business Development Manager, you'll act as a peer, trusted advisor, and force multiplier to senior Air Force leadership. You'll bring operational authority and experience along with the industry credibility required to translate complex defense budget trends, operational gaps, and force modernization initiatives into high-impact growth strategies. You'll embed clear win themes and breakthrough value propositions into every pursuit because you aren't merely tracking opportunities; you are actively shaping requirements, anticipating emerging air base resiliency needs, and driving our advanced capabilities directly into core modernization and sustainment pipelines.

To command this role, you bring an authentic, deep-rooted understanding of defense procurement pathways, federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, OTAs), and the inner workings of the Air Force enterprise. You will direct the end-to-end growth strategy—from early-stage market shaping and intelligence-driven pipeline execution to executive-level summit engagement and strategic account expansion. If you are ready to leverage your Air Force expertise, drive breakthrough enterprise revenue, and deploy game-changing manufacturing technologies that secure American air power, your next mission starts here.

Phillips offers a world-beating collaborative culture and competitive pay and benefits. In our 65 year history, Phillips has grown from a handful of employees to over 900 supplying and supporting manufacturing technology in the United States and around the world. Compensation at Phillips is based on the market and your individual level of contribution. The expected pay range for a qualified person in this role is between $160,000.00 and $180,000.00 annually plus bonus opportunities. If you have a different suggestion, please mention it in your application.
