About SingleFile

SingleFile is solving a $50B+ problem in legal tech. Organizations are drowning in manual compliance workflows, entity management, and Secretary of State filing complexity. We're fixing that with AI-enabled solutions. And we need sales professionals who understand the problem deeply enough to have intelligent conversations with legal teams, finance leaders, and general counsel.

We're actively hiring multiple Business Development Representatives to join our growing team.

The Role

You're not just a BDR. You're becoming a compliance expert who happens to be great at sales. As a Business Development Representative at SingleFile, you'll engage sophisticated buyers on complex problems—entity structure, regulatory compliance, operational risk. You'll ask smart questions about their governance challenges and speak their language.

This is for people who are intellectually curious about how businesses manage legal and compliance risk, and who want to build real expertise in a high-growth space.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Research and engage organizations where legal complexity and compliance risk create operational friction
  • Conduct thoughtful discovery conversations with general counsel, compliance officers, and CFOs about their entity management and regulatory challenges
  • Navigate the sophistication of legal and finance decision-making—understanding stakeholders, risk tolerance, and buying criteria
  • Build prospect lists targeting specific vertical markets (LLCs, multi-entity companies, regulated industries) using ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and industry research
  • Set 25–30 high-quality SQL meetings per month with legal and finance decision-makers
  • Partner with Account Executives to ensure they understand the buyer's governance and compliance context
  • Maintain detailed CRM records that capture the nuance of each buyer's situation
  • Continuously deepen your knowledge of compliance trends, regulatory changes, and how they impact our buyers
  • Test messaging and positioning that resonates with legal and finance professionals
You'll Thrive Here If
  • You're intellectually curious. You want to understand how companies manage legal risk, entity structure, and compliance. You read about compliance trends. You ask thoughtful questions.
  • You're consultative and strategic. You're not reading scripts. You're having real conversations about real problems.
  • You respect complexity. You understand that legal and finance buyers need time, context, and credibility. You're patient and thorough.
  • You're credible and professional. You represent SingleFile with confidence in conversations with senior decision-makers.
  • You're organized. You manage your outbound activity while keeping detailed, intelligent notes about each prospect's situation.
  • You're resilient. Rejection from senior buyers is part of the game. You learn from every "no."
  • You want to specialize. You see compliance and legal tech as a career path, not just a stepping stone.
Requirements
  • 1.5–2+ years of experience as an SDR/BDR or outbound sales in B2B SaaS, tech, or professional services
  • Proven ability to generate pipeline through cold outreach
  • Strong phone presence and comfort with discovery conversations
  • Experience engaging sophisticated or senior-level buyers
  • Experience qualifying beyond surface-level interest
  • Familiarity with CRM and sales tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, etc.)
  • Track record of hitting or exceeding quota
Bonus Points
  • Experience selling into legal, compliance, financial services, or regulated industries ← This is valuable
  • Prior startup experience (you understand fast-moving environments)
  • Background in legal, accounting, or compliance (or genuine curiosity about these fields)
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 + Performance-Based Commission
    • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $75,000 – $95,000+
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Short-term and long-term disability, plus life insurance
  • 401(k) plan
  • Discretionary paid time off and company holidays
  • 100% remote work environment
  • Equity as part of our compensation package. We're a Series A company and believe in sharing the upside with our team
