Are you hungry for a sales career and ready to prove it? Do you get a kick out of cold outreach, the thrill of a booked meeting, and the satisfaction of watching a lead you sourced turn into a real opportunity?

LeasePoint Funding Group is a fast-growing specialty equipment finance company looking for a Business Development Representative to fuel the front end of our sales engine. This is the entry point into vendor financing sales, where you’ll learn the business from the ground up, work side-by-side with senior sellers, and build the foundation for a long-term career in equipment finance.

This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, coachable, and ready to put in the work. You’ll spend your day prospecting, qualifying, and setting meetings with potential vendor partners in the healthcare and specialty markets. The harder you push, the faster you grow.

What’s In It for You

This role is a launchpad. You’ll learn the equipment finance business, sharpen your outbound sales skills, and get direct exposure to how senior sellers build vendor programs and close deals.

Top performers in this seat have a clear path into a Account Executive role, where you’ll own your own vendor portfolio and carry a quota. We invest in our BDRs because we want to grow our next generation of senior sellers from within.

Why This Role Matters

Every signed vendor starts as a name on a list. BDRs are the ones who turn cold prospects into warm opportunities, and warm opportunities into meetings that move the business forward. As the front line of our sales effort, you’ll directly influence pipeline volume, the speed at which we grow, and the strength of our vendor network.

Who You Are

  • Motivated, coachable, and want a real career in sales
  • Not afraid of the phone, the cold email, or the LinkedIn DM
  • Bounce back quickly from a no and stay focused on the next outreach
  • Organized enough to run multiple outreach campaigns without losing track of who said what
  • Curious about how businesses work and genuinely want to understand the people you’re selling to
  • Take feedback well and apply it fast
  • Bring energy and consistency every day, not just on the days you feel like it

What You’ll Do

You’ll own the front end of our vendor sales motion, including:

  • Researching and identifying 100+ prospective vendors in healthcare and specialty markets
  • Running outbound outreach via calls, emails, LinkedIn, and trade event follow-up
  • Qualifying inbound and outbound opportunities to determine fit for LeasePoint’s vendor programs
  • Setting at least 10 new qualified vendor meetings per month for senior Sales team
  • Partnering closely with senior sellers to ensure smooth handoff and continuity through the sales cycle
  • Supporting the BD team with prep work for presentations, proposals, and vendor program outlines
  • Representing LeasePoint at selected trade shows, vendor meetings, and industry events to generate new leads
  • Maintaining accurate, current records in HubSpot, including contacts, activities, and pipeline progress
  • Continuously refining outreach messaging and strategies based on what’s working in the market

This job description is intended to describe the general nature of the role and is not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities. Duties and priorities may evolve as business needs change.

What Success Looks Like

Within 90 days:

  • Build a working understanding of LeasePoint’s vendor programs and target markets
  • Establish a consistent outreach cadence across calls, emails, and LinkedIn
  • Begin booking qualified meetings for senior Sales team
  • Build strong working relationships with the BD team

Within 6 to 12 months:

  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly qualified meeting targets
  • Contribute meaningfully to pipeline volume and signed vendor programs
  • Develop sharp outbound messaging and a repeatable prospecting playbook

What You’ll Need

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role (internship or entry-level experience acceptable)
  • Demonstrated interest in building a career in sales, business development, or account management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage decision-makers
  • Self-starter mindset with the discipline to hit outreach and meeting targets consistently
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and a growing pipeline
  • Comfortable using CRM tools (HubSpot experience a plus), Microsoft Office Suite, and outreach platforms
  • Customer-centric mindset; you genuinely want to understand a prospect’s business before pitching
  • Background in financial services, equipment sales, or B2B sales is a plus but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% for trade shows, vendor meetings, and industry events

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based commission, commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based incentives tied to qualified meetings booked and pipeline contribution
  • 100% employer-paid HDHP health insurance for employees
  • HSA with employer contribution to support long-term healthcare savings
  • Voluntary dental, vision, life, and AD&D coverage
  • Unlimited Time Off policy so you can recharge when needed
  • 11 paid company holidays
  • Flexible work environment and schedule focused on outcomes
  • Direct mentorship and coaching from senior sellers and sales leadership
  • Clear path for growth into an Account Executive role at a fast-growing specialty equipment finance company
