Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a campus in Austin, Texas which is now home to our US operations.
About the Role
As a Business Development Representative at Canva focusing on Sales and Success support, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships. You advocate the innovative power of Canva's products to make organizations more collaborative, creative, and efficient. You'll collaborate with the Sales and Success team to identify new business opportunities, optimize existing partnerships, and ensure the successful implementation and utilization of Canva's products and services.
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales and Success team to identify and pursue strategic pipeline opportunities, create demand generation activities, and desired results
  • Build sales pipeline using cold outreach and social selling by scheduling and running qualification meetings before passing it on to Canva Consultants
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Canva technologies, territories, accounts, competitors, industry trends, and more.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
  • Learning and implementing strategies that align Canva's solutions with customer pains, use cases, and organization imperatives
  • Utilize tools like Salesforce, Pocus, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Gong, and other resources to maintain pipeline generation and hygiene strategies.
  • Deliver on weekly, monthly and quarterly key performance metrics


You're probably a match if

  • Proven track record of generating sales opportunities/pipeline that drives revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, possesses great time management skills
  • Goal Oriented & Driven; able to complete individual goals as well as work in a team environment
  • Experience with cold outreach over channels like phone, email, social media, and mailer campaigns - experience including account planning, pre-call preparation, opportunity qualification, and objection handling .
  • Experience with Salesforce, Outreach Tools and cold calling.
