Launched in 2010, Eved is a global AP and Payments Platform for Events, Media and Entertainment. An easy-to-use interface coupled with supplier onboarding, invoice processing, global payments, and a reporting engine, makes getting suppliers paid easy and secure. THE ROLE DEFINED:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for prospecting, building and maintaining a solid pipeline of corporate prospects that have needs and initiatives that will benefit from Eved’s technology.  This role is all about targeting corporate buyers and executives that have vested interest in better managing the event spend category – most often executives in procurement, finance, event and marketing departments within a given corporation. 

Fundamentally, this individual must be able to communicate Eved’s value and how the platform can enhance and transform the way they plan and manage their meetings and events.  This individual must also understand and sell the importance of the data and analytics a corporation will have as a result of automating their complex workflow.  

This person must have a proven record of success in a highly competitive sales environment – and a history of helping uncover solid opportunities for their team.  This person must be able to collaborate with a team, react quickly to change and operate day to day with little supervision. 

This role reports directly to the SVP of Revenue.  

 

SCOPE AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Work with management to segment the corporate market and develop a strategy to generate new business opportunities with clients whose needs can be met with Eved’s technology
  • Contact prospective clients through cold calling and develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities with new, targeted accounts
  • Clearly articulate the company’s value proposition to prospects and explain features and benefits to clients, prospects and partners
  • Track leads, activity and opportunities in CRM and work with executives to forecast and grow revenue
  • Maintain client satisfaction and exercise strong communication skills, interpersonal intelligence and follow-up capabilities
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the competitive environment, current market and future trends to maximize new opportunities  

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILL SETS PREFERRED:

  • Experience selling complex B2B technology solutions preferred
  • Takes on a true ‘hunter’ mentality and has experience with a consultative sales approach
  • Self- starter; successful track record in a highly competitive environment and history of consistently meeting or exceeding defined      goals and objectives
  • Well-developed communication skills; comfortable selling via phone, Webex/Teams/Zoom and in person
  • Ability to uncover needs, build value, present solutions and create a sense of urgency
  • Analytical, reflective thinker who can evaluate their effectiveness to maximize future results
  • Collaborative team player who is willing to wear many hats
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
