Role Description

You will partner closely with Product Managers to provide embedded business and economic decision support across key product surfaces at Phantom. You will help accelerate the product roadmap by sharpening tradeoffs and enabling faster, higher-quality decisions that maximize ROI. As a trusted partner to Product, you will quantify impact, clarify options, and drive alignment from analysis through execution. This is an embedded BizOps role focused on decision momentum—not centralized research, FP&A, or dashboarding.

Responsibilities
  • Own business and economic decision support for key product areas:

    • Serve as the business counterpart for economically material product questions.

    • Quantify expected ROI, unit economics, and tradeoffs to help Product make faster, higher-confidence decisions.

    • Produce decision-ready recommendations that clarify options and implications.

  • Bring economic rigor to spend, pricing, and monetization decisions:

    • Evaluate incentive and growth spend using payback, LTV, and ROI analysis to inform investment decisions.

    • Partner with Product, Data, and Finance to assess fees, take-rates, and pricing changes and their impact on growth, revenue, and user experience.

    • Recommend clear paths forward with explicit tradeoffs (e.g., when to subsidize vs. monetize) and success metrics to measure outcomes.

  • Increase decision velocity through end-to-end analysis and cross-functional alignment:

    • Apply an 80/20 mindset, prioritizing speed, impact, and decision clarity over exhaustive analysis.

    • Own analyses end-to-end—from framing and data pulls to modeling, synthesis, and stakeholder alignment.

    • Build lightweight, repeatable frameworks (e.g., incentives evaluation, pricing reviews, unit economics tracking) that scale decision-making across teams.

    • Act as connective tissue across EPD and Operations/Finance for financially material decisions.

  • Example work:

    • Evaluate incentive programs to quantify incremental lift, payback, and ROI, and provide decision-ready recommendations on program design, spend levels, and measurement approach.

    • Analyze unit economics across Phantom’s money movement and trading products (fees, take-rates, variable costs) and support pricing decisions with clear tradeoffs and expected impact.

    • Benchmark competitors across product features, pricing, and incentives to clarify Phantom’s positioning and inform decision-making on monetization and investment tradeoffs.

Qualifications
  • An operator mindset—you think in tradeoffs, sequencing, and Phantom-specific constraints.

  • Comfort operating autonomously, turning ambiguity into structured decisions without hand-holding.

  • Credibility as a cross-functional partner with Product, Data, and Finance.

  • Clear, concise written communication—you produce high-signal decision memos.

  • Advanced Excel and SQL.

  • 4+ years of experience.

  • Ideally 2+ years in management consulting plus 2+ years at a startup.

  • Experience in crypto or fast-growing fintech is a plus.
