THINGS YOU WILL DO

As a System Analyst, you will support the design and delivery of strategic transformation initiatives within the Payment Acceptance Platform domain. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, operations teams and payment scheme representatives to analyze, design and implement acquiring solutions supporting merchant services.

The role focuses on the full merchant lifecycle, including merchant onboarding, acquiring transaction processing, clearing and settlement, merchant funding, disputes, fraud prevention, digital payments and integrations with the wider payment ecosystem.

Main Duties
  • Gather, analyze and document business and system requirements for the Payment Acceptance Platform.
  • Prepare business and system analysis documentation, interface specifications, process flows and data mappings.
  • Analyze merchant onboarding, merchant lifecycle and merchant hierarchy processes.
  • Support initiatives related to acquiring transaction processing, clearing, settlement and merchant funding.
  • Analyze merchant accounting rules, fee calculation processes and reconciliation requirements.
  • Analyze dispute and chargeback processes across the acquiring lifecycle.
  • Support fraud prevention and digital payments initiatives.
  • Analyze integrations between the Payment Acceptance Platform and surrounding banking and payment systems.
  • Prepare and review ISO8583 and ISO20022 message mappings.
  • Support EMV-related initiatives and payment security requirements.
  • Prepare test scenarios, acceptance criteria and support SIT, UAT and production deployments.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Analyst, Business-System Analyst, Solution Analyst or similar role within banking, payments, fintech or acquiring.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end acquiring process.
  • Experience with merchant lifecycle management and merchant onboarding.
  • Knowledge of clearing, settlement, merchant funding and reconciliation processes.
  • Understanding of merchant accounting principles and fee calculation.
  • Experience with disputes, chargebacks and fraud management.
  • Knowledge of digital payments and e-commerce.
  • Familiarity with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and BLIK.
  • Understanding of Single Message and Dual Message processing.
  • Knowledge of ISO8583 and ISO20022.
  • Experience preparing analysis documentation, interface specifications and test scenarios.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English and Polish.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of EMV.
  • Experience with Merchant Portal / Acquirer Portal solutions.
  • Understanding of PCI DSS and payment security.
  • Experience supporting certification projects with payment organizations.
