The Internship Program at Tecovas is an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to expand their skill set and put action to key learnings. This is a meaningful opportunity to learn about the inner workings of a quickly growing and highly collaborative company.

Tecovas is looking for a Business Technology Intern to gain real-life experience supporting our corporate technology stack. Reporting directly to the Manager, Technology Operations, you will spend your time learning the ins and outs of our business systems, responding to support requests, and gaining valuable business context. This internship will provide the intern with project guidance, cross-functional exposure, and daily engagement with the team, including weekly one-on-one check-ins.

This position is based out of Austin, TX with regular in office attendance expected. Must be available for the full duration of the internship (12 weeks).

Please note that this internship opportunity is available only to current and active Tecovas employees. If you are not a Tecovas employee, you will not be considered for this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Review the technology support backlog, triage requests, and respond to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform data clean-up and data entry to ensure system integrity.
  • Attend project scoping meetings to understand business requirements.
  • Work on configuration projects in NetSuite and other systems.
  • Develop the skills to successfully run a tech application support program and support functional configurations.
  • Demonstrate your ability to autonomously complete technical tasks.
  • Contribute to exciting projects, which could include developing an AI-assisted support bot, rebuilding a user experience for a core stakeholder, or creating daily tech stack summary automation reports.

Experience we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field

  • You are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • You are detail-oriented with a knack for creative problem-solving.
  • You are proactive and eager to learn new technologies and systems. 

Requirements

  • Must be located in the Austin, TX area 
  • Must be available to work up to 32 hours per week, Monday - Friday (between the hours of 8AM-5PM CST)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly 
  • Internship program culminates with a presentation to our leadership team  summarizing your experience at Tecovas with key takeaways and feedback regarding the program.

  • Competitive hourly rate - starting at $18/hour; The actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
