Do you enjoy working outdoors in a high-energy environment while helping children grow and step outside their comfort zone? Join our Camp Team as a Program Specialist- Arts and Crafts at Camp Round Rock! This is a part-time position specializing in Arts and Crafts activities.
Essential Functions:
- Proficiently teach the program curriculum and concepts
- Assist in development of new programs
- Be actively engaged in, and adjust activities to accommodate varying group needs
- Assist in meal procedures
- Cooperate on maintaining the grounds and seeing that facility equipment is used properly
- Ability to relate well to children, to communicate effectively, build rapport, and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, other staff, and Y leadership
- Ensure a safe experience for all participants
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Any applicable certifications, training or licenses needed for specialized program required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
- Previous camp experience or experience working in a related field working with people preferred
- Previous experience facilitating arts and crafts preferred
- Ability and willingness to work outside in the Texas summer heat
- Must pass reference checks, pre-employment drug screen, background check and sex offender registry check
Pay Rate: $15.00-$19.00/hour
