Compound Planning is a fast-growing fintech-enabled RIA seeking a high-caliber Cashiering Platform & Operations Analyst to play a pivotal role in modernizing and scaling our cash management function. This is not a traditional processor role. We are intentionally investing in a high-level analytical thinker who combines deep cashiering knowledge with systems thinking, process design, and operational oversight.

Role Overview

This role will lead the operational onboarding, workflow design, and optimization of our new cash management platform. The ideal candidate is both a hands-on operator and a strategic process designer — someone who understands cashiering deeply enough to execute transactions, but who naturally thinks in terms of process, systems, controls, data, and scalability.

Post-implementation, this individual will evolve into a quality reviewer, workflow owner, and data-driven oversight partner to leadership, while continuing to process a portion of transactions to remain grounded in day-to-day realities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead operational onboarding and implementation of the our new cash management platform

  • Design, document, and continuously improve cashiering SOPs, workflows, controls, and exception handling procedures

  • Translate real-world cashiering scenarios into scalable system rules and operational best practices

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on cashiering workflows and platform functionality

  • Process a portion of daily cashiering transactions (ACH, wires, journals, contributions, distributions, etc.) to stay connected to live operations

  • Act as a quality control reviewer, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  • Develop reporting and metrics that provide leadership visibility into cash movement volumes, turnaround times, and exception rates

  • Partner with Operations, WMAs, Engineering, and Compliance to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and scalable

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose system or process enhancements

  • Support training of team members on new cashiering workflows and platform tools

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-risk cashiering scenarios

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Analytical thinker who naturally looks for root causes, patterns, and system improvements

  • Comfortable designing processes, not just executing tasks

  • Understands how to balance speed, risk, and client experience

  • Able to translate operational challenges into structured workflows and documentation

  • Grounded, practical, and willing to roll up sleeves to execute when needed

What Success Looks Like in This Role
  • Smooth and well-governed rollout of the our new cash management platform

  • Clearly documented and consistently followed cashiering workflows

  • Reduced operational friction and fewer repeat errors

  • Improved visibility into cashiering metrics and operational risk

  • A scalable, well-controlled cashiering function that supports firm growth

Qualifications
  • 3–6+ years of experience in cashiering, operations, or money movement within an RIA, broker-dealer, or custodian

  • Strong understanding of ACH, wires, journals, contributions, and distributions

  • Experience improving workflows, writing SOPs, or supporting system implementations preferred

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Comfort working with data, metrics, and operational reporting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • High attention to detail and risk awareness in a regulated environment

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary

  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans.

  • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.

  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
