IBMC is assisting our Client in hiring a hands-on COO / CMO to take ownership of a growing ecosystem of financial media platforms, industry publications, and lead-generation channels focused on the trading and investing industry.

Through their media properties, review platforms, and performance marketing channels, our client connect financial companies such as brokers, prop trading firms, trading platforms, and fintech companies with global audiences of traders and investors.

Their mission is to build one of the leading global media ecosystems in the trading industry, combining trusted financial content, data-driven media platforms, and high-performing user acquisition channels.

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating & Marketing Officer (COO/CMO) who can take operational ownership of the Group ecosystem and help scale the business into a leading global financial media network.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, covering:

  • operations

You will work closely with the CSO to scale the business, expand the platform ecosystem, and drive sustainable revenue growth.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership
  • Work closely with the CSO to define and execute the long-term growth strategy of FinMedia Group
  • Identify opportunities to expand the company’s media platform ecosystem
  • Develop monetization strategies across media, affiliate partnerships, and advertising
Marketing & Audience Growth
  • Lead the growth strategy for all FinMedia media platforms
  • Develop scalable user acquisition strategies, including:
    • SEO
    • content marketing
    • social media distribution
    • email marketing
    • performance marketing
  • Optimize the traffic → lead → conversion funnel
Operations Management
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of FinMedia Group
  • Build and manage internal processes to scale efficiently
  • Coordinate between content teams, marketing teams, development teams, and partners
  • Implement performance metrics and reporting systems
Revenue & Monetization
  • Develop and manage monetization strategies including:
    • affiliate partnerships
    • advertising campaigns
    • sponsored content
    • industry partnerships
  • Build strong relationships with financial industry partners
Platform Development
  • Work with product and development teams to improve media platforms
  • Identify opportunities to launch new industry platforms or verticals
  • Improve conversion optimization and platform user experience
Team Leadership
  • Recruit and manage marketing, content, and growth teams
  • Build a performance-driven culture focused on measurable growth
  • Establish KPIs and performance tracking systems

Requirements

We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial operator with strong experience in media, marketing, or fintech.

Experience
  • 5+ years experience in digital media, marketing, fintech, or lead-generation businesses
  • Experience scaling media platforms, affiliate businesses, or content-driven growth companies
  • Proven track record of growing traffic and monetization
Skills
  • Strong understanding of SEO, content marketing, and digital growth strategies
  • Experience with affiliate marketing and performance marketing models
  • Strong operational leadership skills
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
