Omnicell is seeking a Chief Pharmacy & Clinical Officer to define and lead the clinical strategy behind autonomous pharmacy at scale. In this role, you will serve as Omnicell’s senior clinical authority—shaping how pharmacy leaders experience Omnicell today and how the industry evolves tomorrow. 
 

You will be the clinical voice to customers, industry groups, regulators, and internal executives. By translating real health system needs into strategic direction, you will influence product strategy, evidence development, portfolio decisions, and customer experience. You will also support strategic partnerships and M&A activity by validating clinical value and advising on ROI. 
 

This role requires a sitting or former healths ystem pharmacy executive with the leadership presence, judgment, and communication capabilities to operate as a peer to Omnicell’s customers and executive team. 
  

Key Responsibilities 

Industry & Thought Leadership 

  • Represent Omnicell and the autonomous pharmacy movement in webinars, podcasts, blogs, publications, and high visibility industry forums. 

  • Engage and guide the Autonomous Pharmacy Advisory Board and other strategic councils to advance the autonomous medication management vision. 

  • Publish and present thought leadership to position Omnicell as the market leader in clinical innovation and automation. 

Policy & Advocacy 

  • Influence policy and standards to accelerate technology adoption across pharmacy and healthcare ecosystems. 

  • Partner with Government Affairs and engage in relationships with pharmacy, standards setting, and professional organizations. 

Innovation & Enterprise Strategy 

  • Provide deep clinical, market, and patient insights to inform enterprise strategy, evidence strategy, and business unit roadmaps. 

  • Identify growth opportunities and shape customer strategies for advancing autonomous pharmacy. 

Product & Portfolio Influence 

  • Inform product development with real-world workflow, operational, and clinical insights. 

  • Participate in strategic initiatives across Product, Quality, and Marketing to optimize clinical and operational outcomes. 
     

Business Development & M&A 

  • Shape value propositions and ROI narratives for Omnicell’s portfolio of solutions. 

  • Build trusted relationships with Csuite pharmacy leaders to strengthen commercial strategy. 

  • Support M&A diligence by evaluating clinical fit, value potential, and investment alignment. 
     

 

Qualifications 

Must-have 

  • PharmD or equivalent degree in Pharmacy. 

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in a health system pharmacy. 

  • Demonstrated expertise in workflow design, organizational structure, service delivery, and enterprise level pharmacy operations. 

  • Proven track record of presenting to large groups and publishing in professional channels. 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders. 

  • Active engagement and leadership experience in local, state, or national professional pharmacy organizations. 

  • Ability to operate effectively in highly cross functional, strategic environments. 

  • AI Fluency (foundational ability to use AI tools in daily work). 
     

Preferred 

  • Residency and/or fellowship training. 

  • Experience shaping or contributing to technology, automation, or clinical informatics innovation. 

  • Experience supporting M&A, due diligence, or enterprise level portfolio evaluation. 

  • Certification or training in Generative AI (e.g., prompt engineering, applied AI).
