As a Chief of Staff on the Marketing team, a typical day for you will include:

  • Serve as the CMO’s chief strategic and operational partner, translating Marketing strategy and priorities into executable operating plans.
  • Lead the Marketing P&L, including annual planning, quarterly reforecasting, and ongoing investment governance to ensure resources are deployed against the highest-return initiatives.
  • Build and maintain business cases, ROI models, and performance dashboards to measure the effectiveness of Marketing investments, with a strong focus on lead quality, incrementality, and customer journey outcomes, with particular focus on insights across both paid and organic growth channels.
  • Drive operational execution of Marketing’s top objectives and key initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, and accountability across teams, including the coordinated deployment of growth initiatives across paid and organic media channels.
  • Act as a strategic problem solver and escalation point for critical barriers or challenges to marketing-led initiatives, proactively identifying risks and clearing obstacles, including those impacting performance or scalability of growth initiatives.
  • Coordinate Marketing leadership rhythms (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual), ensuring meetings are decision-oriented and result in clear actions and follow-through, including review of growth initiative performance and data-driven optimization opportunities.

(Required qualifications)

  • Experience:
    • 7 + years of experience in strategy/consulting, marketing, finance, or general management roles. Experience in strategy/consulting is required.
    • Experience in franchise, multi-brand, or multi-unit businesses strongly preferred (complex stakeholder environments, brand-to-brand dynamics).
  • Skills:
    • Strong financial and business acumen, with demonstrated experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and investment trade-offs.
    • Ability to develop robust, quantitative models that combine data from multiple sources to identify trends in business performance
    • Experience with advanced Excel functions and visualization tools
    • Deep understanding of modern marketing operations, including performance marketing, local marketing dynamics, customer journey optimization, and data-driven decision-making, with working knowledge of how paid and organic channels contribute to growth outcomes.
    • Systems thinker with the ability to simplify complexity, design scalable processes, and drive operational rigor.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, Operations, or related fields. Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred, particularly with a focus on strategy, organizational leadership, or operations.
