About Early Media

Early Media is creating and distributing groundbreaking original series. We craft narratives with viral potential while preserving the heart of indie production, telling meaningful stories audiences actually care about. Every creative decision is sharpened by a proprietary testing and marketing engine that collapses the distance between filmmaker and audience into the tightest iteration loop in the industry.

We're hiring a Chief of Staff to be the Director of Early Media's right hand. You'll be in the room for the highest-stakes decisions, own execution on our most important initiatives, and build the operating muscle of the company from the inside.

What you'll own

  • The company's operating rhythm — leadership meetings, planning cycles, OKRs, exec reviews

  • High-priority initiatives end-to-end, from scoping to launch, with clean accountability across stakeholders

  • The systems that scale Early Media: ops, finance, contracts, vendor management, reporting infrastructure

  • External vendor and partner relationships across marketing, brand, legal, and creative services — held to a bar on quality, voice, and ROI

  • Executive communications: board updates, investor materials, internal memos, exec presentations

  • Hard-to-source hiring in partnership with recruiting

  • Operational bottlenecks and resource gaps — surfaced and resolved before they become problems

Must-haves

  • An operator first. You move fast and obsess over details others miss.

  • 2+ years in an operational leadership role in a comparable high-performance environment

  • Track record of owning ambiguous problems and shipping results without hand-holding

  • Exceptional written communication

  • Sound judgment and discretion across every level of the org and with external partners

  • You'd rather build the system than inherit one

  • Comfortable in ambiguity, context-switching, and a fully in-person Austin environment

Nice to Have

  • Background in media, entertainment, or the creator economy

  • Ex-founder or early hire at an early-stage startup

  • Vendor management or contract negotiation chops

  • Fluency with modern operating tools (Notion, Linear, etc)

  • Genuine interest in vertical content, streaming, or the future of mobile entertainment
