About the Job
CatFace is seeking a visionary Minecraft Cinematographer to join our Stories team. This role is perfect for someone with a cinematic eye and a passion for bringing stories to life inside Minecraft. You’ll be working directly with PixelCam and Blockbuster to create stunning cutscenes, immersive roleplay content, and engaging videos that captivate our audience.

What You’ll Do
- Translate scripts into cinematic shot lists and visual storytelling.
- Direct and film cutscenes inside Minecraft, coordinating with body actors to bring sequences to life.
- Use PixelCam and Blockbuster to design camera profiles, cinematic angles, and smooth shots.
- Assist production in preparing assets, sets, and production notes.
- Troubleshoot technical issues within Minecraft mods and filming setups.
- Research new creative approaches, trends, and filming methods to elevate content.
- Provide support across departments when needed, contributing to a collaborative production workflow.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of experience in cinematography, with a strong understanding of cinematic terms, techniques, and visual storytelling.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with PixelCam and Blockbuster in Minecraft.
- Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Minecraft as a game engine, especially for roleplay and cinematic content.
- Familiarity with YouTube editing styles and trends, always seeking to improve and innovate video quality.
- Ability to direct, manage, and inspire small teams of body actors during shoots.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Minecraft mod setups and filming workflows.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced entertainment environment.
Based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate within 2 weeks of hire.

Salary/Wages: $55,000 - $65,000
Location: Austin
