Summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking a Class Action Associate Attorney with at least 2+ years' experience to join its growing class action group. This candidate in any of our offices in the US.  The Class Action Attorney will help handle a heavy and complex caseload of federal and state cases related to unfair business practices, consumer protection and privacy statues.     

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day handling of state and federal class action cases  in various stages
  • Investigation, drafting and filing of litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda
  • Guiding clients through the case process
  • Interacting with expert witnesses, including preparation of expert reports and affidavits
  • Preparing for and attending depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances

Qualification

  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association
  • Minimum 2+ years' of class action experience, including trial, deposition, and motions experience in technical, complex cases, ideally on behalf of plaintiffs
  • Exceptional research skills.  Candidate should be capable of scouring the earth on Westlaw to find applicable caselaw
  • Clerkship experience preferred
  • Law review experience preferred
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with a close attention to detail
