Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking a Client Services Specialist to join our Client Services team. HRT’s Client Services team is responsible for maintaining a robust and efficient trading platform that includes configuring, monitoring, and optimizing our trading as well as handling risk, regulatory, and development tasks in a live trading environment.

As a Client Services Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for clients primarily responsible for managing their requests and ensuring a seamless trading day. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues as they arise and providing feedback on order handling, trading systems, etc.

This role requires extremely close collaboration with multiple stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent cross-functional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor order flow from HRT’s clients
  • Respond to external market alerts and outages
  • Interface with clients and other external parties to support trading
  • Support the desk's communication around equity execution protocols
  • Address questions and concerns around fills, orders, or trades in response to client inquiries
  • Act as a liaison between clients and HRT’s internal teams and infrastructure
  • Contribute to rotational team-wide production management coverage 
  • Occasionally work non-standard hours (i.e. trading hours in other time zones, pre- and post-market hours)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a trading desk or working in a similar client service role
  • Understanding of on-exchange, off-exchange, and OTC products
  • Experience supporting trading systems, preferably electronic trading 
  • Series 7/57 certification
  • Experience supporting client-facing business

The estimated base salary range for this position is 65,000 to 95,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
