Role Overview

We’re hiring a Client Success Owner (CSO) to lead Data & AI engagements from ambiguity to impact.

This is a client-facing role that combines project ownership, technical fluency, and relationship management. You’ll own both delivery and the client relationship—ensuring work is executed well and clearly tied to business value.

You’ll work closely with technical teams to scope projects, guide execution, and translate outputs into insights that drive decisions and long-term partnership growth.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Data & AI engagements, from scoping through final impact reporting.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building trust and leading communication, updates, and decision-making.
  • Translate ambiguous needs into clear plans, timelines, and deliverables; proactively manage risks and blockers.
  • Deliver weekly value presentations, translating technical work into business outcomes and ROI.
  • Maintain clear documentation and capture “evidence of value” through insights, demos, and reporting.
  • Partner with data teams to guide solution design and execution; contribute hands-on when needed (SQL, dbt, BI).
  • Ensure strong project hygiene, team alignment, and visibility into engagement health.
  • Track client sentiment, flag risks early, and prevent escalation through proactive management.
  • Identify and drive expansion opportunities aligned to client needs and measurable impact.
  • Lead final presentations, post-mortems, and support productization of reusable solutions.

🧩 Background & Skills

Experience

  • 4–6+ years in analytics, data engineering, data science, or consulting.
  • Experience leading data projects and working directly with clients.
  • Strong track record of translating data into business insights.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of data modeling.
  • Experience with dbt or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.) and BI tools (Looker, Sigma, Power BI).
  • Comfortable working with data teams and reviewing technical work.

Skills & Mindset

  • Structured thinker: brings clarity to ambiguous problems.
  • Strong communicator: clear, concise, and confident with stakeholders.
  • Ownership-driven: accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Relationship-focused: builds trust and manages client sentiment.
  • Proactive: anticipates issues and takes initiative.
  • Technically fluent: able to go deep when needed.
  • Commercially aware: can spot and shape growth opportunities.

⏱️ Operating Cadence (80/20 Model)

  • Daily: Client touchpoint, health score update, expert execution.
  • Weekly: Value presentation delivery, sync with Service Leaders.
  • Monthly: AI efficiency audit, sentiment/NPS review, expansion strategy.
  • End of Project: Asset pivot, internal post-mortem, ROI capture.

📊 Success Metrics

  • Consistent, high-quality client communication and updates.
  • Strong client satisfaction and engagement health.
  • On-time, high-quality project delivery.
  • Expansion opportunities generated from existing clients.

📍 Location & Logistics

  • Location: Remote (LA, Austin or NYC preferred)
  • Type: Contract
  • Start Date: ASAP

🤝 Benefits & Culture

  • Competitive salary.
  • Opportunity to be part of a team building innovative AI products.
  • Fast-paced environment where your work has immediate impact.
  • A team that values collaboration, learning, and cutting-edge innovation.
