ROLE

  • The successful candidate will have a background in leading a Presales / Architecture / Consultancy Team at a Solutions or Service Provider, Consultancy, IT Reseller or Systems Integrator.
  • Provide our diverse range of customers with cloud agnostic, industry-leading advice and expertise to help them select the right technology solutions and make the most of them
  • Lead presales cloud migration, Green field, Disaster Recovery, Cloud native application development opportunities across public, private and hybrid platforms from inception through to handover to sales with solution and commercial documentation for closure.
  • Excellent in optimizing the Cloud infra Bill of material to create commercially viable and winnable bids
  • Proven experience working on Govt & Commercial bids/RFPs
  • Own cloud GTM message, driving and evangelising our opinion, breadth of capability and experiences to internal teams, customers and partners.


Requirements

20% - Engage with customer CXOs and IT Heads to represent cloud technology expertise using a combination of your own depth of cloud experience as well as the wider team to prove our capability, lead high-value opportunities and win profitable business

50% - Lead the development of the cloud business by working closely with internal teams and partners to build brand, create and build pipeline, develop services and drive standards and practices. Maintain documentation best practices and identify business risks related to customer engagements.

20% - Oversee the team by handling incoming opportunities, management reporting, recruiting/retaining/developing co-workers and dealing with issues and escalations

10% - Develop and maintain your own skills and knowledge through research, self-guided learning, lab time and formal training/accreditation.

Qualifications

  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS ·
  • 8+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications ·
  • 5+ years of experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting in customer-facing roles
  • Certified Pro level Solution Architect into any cloud
  • Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required, commensurate modern certifications AWS, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer’s environment and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
