Role Summary

The Commercial Solution Consultant is a strategic technical partner embedded within Commercial Account Teams. This role brings deep expertise in our product suites and technical capabilities to shape deals, address complex customer questions, and ensure solution feasibility throughout the sales cycle. Acting as a trusted advisor, the consultant bridges business needs with technical solutions, driving confidence and clarity for customers and internal stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

1. Own Technical Discovery and Qualification

  • Partner with Sales and Product Solutions Consultants to conduct in-depth technical discovery with customer stakeholders.
  • Assess infrastructure, integration needs, deployment preferences (cloud vs. on-prem), and security requirements.
  • Identify technical gaps and validate solution feasibility based on product capabilities and delivery models.

2. Deliver Customized Product Demonstrations

  • Design and deliver compelling, technically accurate product demonstrations tailored to customer use cases.
  • Configure demo environments that reflect real-world scenarios, integrating multiple product and service components.
  • Highlight differentiators, scalability, and interoperability with customer systems.

3. Support Solution Architecture and Deployment Planning

  • Collaborate on solution design, including system architecture, integration strategy, and deployment methodology.
  • Recommend optimal product configurations and deployment models aligned with business and IT requirements.
  • Advise on data flows, security architecture, scalability, and performance best practices.

4. Respond to Technical Questions, RFIs, and RFPs

  • Lead technical sections of RFP/RFI responses with accurate, timely, and compelling content.
  • Participate in security, compliance, and IT assessments to ensure alignment with customer standards.
  • Provide documentation, diagrams, and positioning for complex solution evaluations.

5. Coordinate with Professional Services for Scoping

  • Collaborate with Services Architects and Delivery teams to scope custom integrations, migrations, and implementations.
  • Define technical aspects of Statements of Work (SOWs), including integration methods, API usage, and dependencies.

6. Act as a Trusted Technical Advisor

  • Build credibility with customer technical teams, IT stakeholders, and system integrators.
  • Serve as liaison between customers and internal teams to align technical expectations and capabilities.
  • Support POCs, sandbox access, and trial environments during evaluations.

7. Stay Current on Product, Platform, and Industry Trends

  • Maintain deep knowledge of all products in the portfolio (SaaS, licensed, and services).
  • Monitor competitor capabilities, industry standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Share insights with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap and feature development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in solution consulting, pre-sales engineering, or technical architecture roles.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS platforms, integration frameworks, and enterprise IT environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Familiarity with security standards, compliance frameworks, and deployment methodologies.
