About the Role

A1 is building a proactive AI chat app for everyday users to bring intelligence to conversations, errands, organising and workflows.

Unlike traditional chat-based applications, our product focuses on achieving high reliability for long-running workflows, persistent context, and real-world task completion.

The system must handle multi-step reasoning, interact with external tools, and remain reliable despite non-deterministic model behavior.

As a Communications Associate, you will support A1’s external communications and global brand presence across media, digital platforms, and public channels. You will help shape how the company is presented externally through content, media coordination, research, and communication execution.

This role is suited for individuals with strong writing ability, curiosity about technology and AI, and interest in global media and storytelling.

What You'll Do
  • Support media outreach, communication campaigns, and external engagement activities

  • Research media, creators, podcasts, and relevant platforms across global markets

  • Draft and edit communication materials including pitches, talking points, and briefing notes

  • Monitor media coverage, online discussions, and industry developments related to AI and technology

  • Coordinate interviews, media requests, and communication follow-ups

  • Help maintain communication assets, outreach trackers, and documentation

  • Work closely with leadership and internal teams on external messaging and positioning

What You'll Need
  • Strong written communication and editing skills in English

  • Chinese language capability is a plus

  • Interest in AI, technology, media, and internet culture

  • Ability to organize information clearly and communicate concisely

  • Comfortable working in fast-moving and ambiguous environments

  • High ownership and willingness to learn independently

  • Prior internship or experience in communications, PR, journalism, media, marketing, or content is a plus

How We Work

The best products in the world are built by small, highly capable teams. We operate with high talent density, fast execution speed, and strong ownership. We care deeply about product quality, clear thinking, and practical execution.

This is a hands-on environment. Everyone is expected to contribute directly, operate independently, and make good decisions under ambiguity. Our goal is to build products that are genuinely useful to billions of people globally.

Interview Process

If there appears to be a fit, we will schedule up to 3 interviews.

Applications are reviewed directly by our team. Interviews are conducted virtually and/or onsite depending on location.

We value speed, clarity, and direct communication throughout the process.
