Community Engagement Manager - Cavender Auto Family

We are seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Community Engagement Manager to lead and sustain our established community engagement and employee volunteer programs. This position will build upon a strong foundation of community partnerships and employee involvement while identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships, increase volunteer participation, and expand our positive impact across all Cavender Auto Family dealership markets.
The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, enjoys building lasting relationships, and excels at organizing volunteer initiatives, events, and partnerships that align with our company values and business objectives.
This position is based in San Antonio, Texas, with travel required to support our growing family of dealerships throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance Cavender Auto Family's community engagement strategy across all dealership markets.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with nonprofit organizations and community partners.
- Coordinate company-sponsored volunteer opportunities and employee engagement initiatives.
- Recruit, support, and recognize employee volunteers while encouraging participation throughout the organization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community partnership requests and charitable initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure community investments align with company values and strategic priorities.
- Plan, coordinate, and represent Cavender Auto Family at community events, volunteer projects, sponsorships, and charitable activities.
- Partner with Marketing to develop content highlighting community involvement, volunteer efforts, and the Making Kindness Happen initiative across social media, digital platforms, and internal communications.
- Track volunteer participation, community impact, and program outcomes, providing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen existing programs while introducing thoughtful enhancements that increase employee engagement and community impact.
- Foster strong working relationships with dealership leadership, employees, and community stakeholders to ensure consistent execution of community initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience in communications, public relations, marketing, nonprofit management, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Three or more years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit partnerships, public relations, corporate social responsibility, volunteer management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success building and maintaining community partnerships and managing volunteer or community engagement programs.
- Strong project management, organizational, and event planning skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience creating content for social media and digital communication platforms preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and willingness to travel throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
