Support on- and near-campus apartment residents by assisting with maintenance monitoring, move-in/move-out procedures, inspections, policy education, amenities oversight, community activities, and weekend on-call emergency coverage while providing administrative support to the Senior Community Apartment Manager.

The Community Support Assistant is primarily responsible for serving DTS students and their families who live in our on- or near-campus apartments with excellence. This position is also responsible for providing management support in a way that fosters a positive and caring Christian community.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Administrative and Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring the maintenance of the building’s electrical, flooring, plumbing, laundry rooms, security systems at entrances, pool, lawn, parking, etc., and report any service needed to the Facilities and Plant Operations Department (FPO)
- Assist with apartment inspections
- Assist with resident move-in/move-out procedures, to include preparing and delivery move packages
- Educate residents on housing policies as specified in the lease agreement
- Assist in overseeing building amenities usage
- Assist with facilitating activities intended to foster on-campus community
- Assist Senior Community Apartment Manager as needed
Commitments Unique to the Position:
- Must be available to work during typical move-in and move-out seasons (May-August and December-January) when scheduled
- Responsible to fulfill weekend emergency on-call coverage as scheduled. “On-call” requires that the Community Support Specialist be able to respond to emergency calls within 30 minutes and, when necessary, be physically present on-site within 90 minutes)
- Must select a course schedule that is conducive to the requirements of the role (approved by Supervisor)
- Languages: Fluent English required; Proficiency in Chinese, Korean, or Spanish preferred

Education and Experience:
- College degree preferred
- Experience with campus housing or residential operations preferred
- Knowledge of light maintenance preferred
- Experience with online marketing platforms (Canva, Adobe suite, Facebook) or willingness to learn preferred
- Willingness to learn/explore ways to expand the use of new digital programs preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Asana, and related software
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for a prolonged period of time
- Ability to stand or walk for a prolonged period of time
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds at times
