About the Internship Program:
Our internship program is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional
development opportunities for students or recent graduates. Interns will work on meaningful projects, gain exposure to our organization, and develop skills that align with their career goals.
We are seeking a Compliance Intern to join the Health-E Commerce team for the Summer semester. This individual will have the opportunity to assist compliance team members in a variety of projects aimed at establishing greater efficiency and oversight of various areas. Must be available 20-30 hours per week over a 10-week period, this position is 100% remote.
Specific responsibilities:- User testing of various compliance and privacy processes to establish ease of use, understanding and areas of potential improvement
- Assist with internal audits and review audit processes to create efficiency
- A holistic review of the company Compliance Program, including audit and research of existing compliance approach related to industry standard and identification of areas for automation
- A review and audit of existing compliance procedures and policies/Privacy research related to developing state and federal privacy laws
- Other privacy related research and compilation to ensure continued adherence to evolving privacy landscape
- Advocacy and public policy support and research with opportunity to contribute to HEC’s advocacy mission and policy enhancement initiatives
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Management, or a related field
- Must have experience in conducting research and policy verification
- Must be proactive, resourceful, and determined to succeed
- Must have excellent computer skills including all MS Office programs, Google Suite, Sharepoint, etc.
- A desire to research, understand, and translate complicated matters into actionable insights
- Prior experience or coursework in compliance, data privacy, public policy or risk management a plus
- Compensation: $15 - $20hr
- Must be able to work EST hours
- Available 06/01/26 - 08/07/2026
