Consultant, Responsible Minerals (I9)  

 

Job Summary: The Consultant will lead strategic initiatives for the Social and Environmental Responsibility Team that ensure the sustainability and safety of Dell’s supply chain by ensuring compliance with responsible minerals sourcing regulations and leading various minerals campaigns to promote ethical practices.

What you’ll achieve 

 

As a Consultant, you will lead strategic initiatives that ensure the sustainability and safety of Dell’s supply chain. Be part of a team that leads one of the industry’s most comprehensive audit programs to ensure compliance with all requirements from industry associations, government and other regulatory bodies and provide mitigation recommendations and action plans. This role offers the opportunity to expand one’s scope within the Supply Chain Assurance organization or the ability to gain experience in supply chain operations as part of a career in Dell’s environmental, social and governance efforts. 

 

 Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to responsible minerals sourcing, including the Dodd-Frank Act, EU Conflict Minerals Regulation, EU Batteries Regulation, and other applicable laws. Strengthen our existing due diligence framework to meet heightened regulatory requirements. 

 

  • Program Development: Develop and implement responsible minerals sourcing programs and policies to ensure ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain. 

 

  • Campaign and Disclosure Management: Plan, execute, and manage various minerals campaigns to raise awareness and promote responsible sourcing practices within the industry. Prepare disclosures and manage filing process. 

 

  • Supplier Engagement: Work closely with suppliers to ensure they understand and comply with responsible sourcing requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance. 

 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, industry groups, and NGOs, to promote responsible minerals sourcing. Collaborate internationally with stakeholders in various time zones; successful candidates should be prepared to maintain healthy work-life balance while engaging with stakeholders based in the US, Europe, and Asia 

 

  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to responsible minerals sourcing. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies and stakeholders. 

 

  • Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs for employees and suppliers on responsible minerals sourcing practices and compliance requirements.

Essential Requirements  

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in responsible minerals sourcing, compliance, or a related field/Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including the US Dodd-Frank Act, EU Conflict Minerals Regulation, and EU Batteries Regulation. 

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills/Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills/Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Experience with supplier engagement and auditing is preferred. 

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management and interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures 

 

 

Desirable Requirements  

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field. 

Typically requires 3+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent experience 

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.  The base salary range for this position:  $160,000 to $200,000
