POSITION SUMMARY:  The Content Marketing Analyst is responsible for supporting the creation, support, planning, strategy, and maintenance of Republic Services’ customer-facing digital presence which includes, municipal websites, RepublicServices.com and other customer facing properties. The incumbent will write, test, and publish pages within the CMS (Content Management System), and will review and QA content created by contractors, agencies, or other individuals updating content on Republic Services’ digital properties. The Content Marketing Analyst will work closely with the Digital Content Manager and other Content Marketing Specialists to ensure content created supports optimized search engine results ranking.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With direction from the Digital Content Manager and other stakeholders: outline, write, and edit new and existing content for publication online in support of the company’s marketing & self-service objectives.

  • Partners with internal municipal managers and stakeholders to create and maintain municipal microsites supporting city contracts.

  • Responsible to respond to and resolve Service Now tickets for website related issues within SLA.

  • Partners with the various members of the Digital Customer Experience team to contribute to the digital and content strategy, including identifying needs and proposing solutions, as well as identifying and implementing SEO best practices.

  • Updates web content via Content Management System (CMS).

  • Serves as a liaison between Digital Marketing and IT. Provides recommendations on priority for web content and development. Responsible for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as needed with development.

  • Assists with the designing, implementing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate testing features and partner with digital marketing analytics team to drive content strategy to meet key website goals.

  • Partners with Brand, Communications and other internal stakeholders to implement brand guidelines, publish blogs, post service alerts, and collect, approve, and assist in updating content as requests are received.

  • Analyzes and reports key content performance and uses data to make recommendations to support and influence the key business goals and objectives.

  • Supports the review of all content being published to Republic Services’ customer facing digital properties.

  • Configures, monitors, and optimizes content via Search Engine Optimization (including generative AI content optimization) to meet the companies goals and objectives

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Strong organization skills and can provide information to others quickly upon request.

  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Teamwork/collaboration mindset with the ability to work with stakeholders and leaders throughout the organization.

  • Active analytical curiosity and creativity, as well as a flexible critical thinker and problem solver.

  • A passion for solving challenges in simple ways for internal and external customers.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to work diligently and independently, but according to direction and within pre-set guidelines.

  • Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization best practices and measurement, web languages, content management workflows, web development, web analytics, digital marketing, and content management systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 - 4 years of Marketing, web development and/or other relevant experience.

Compensation: 68k-102k DOE

SUSTAINABILITY INNOVATION

Republic’s recent innovations to advance circularity and decarbonization demonstrate our unique ability to leverage sustainability as a platform for growth.

The Republic Services Polymer Center is the nation’s first integrated plastics recycling facility. This innovative site processes rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle-to-bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.

We continue to advance decarbonization at our landfills. As demand for renewable energy continues to grow, we have 70 landfill gas-to-energy projects in operation and plan to expand our portfolio to 115 projects by 2028.
