About the Role

We’re looking for a Contract Senior Talent Sourcer, GTM to play a critical role in how Customer.io identifies, engages, and builds relationships with exceptional business talent across the company.

This is a sourcing-first role. You’ll lead proactive talent mapping and pipeline generation across a range of GTM and business operations functions — including Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Business Operations, and other strategic corporate teams — partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers to shape search strategy, calibrate role requirements, and bring market insight into hiring decisions.

While strategic sourcing is the core focus, you’ll also have the ability to flex into full-cycle ownership of select roles as hiring needs evolve.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in proactive search, quickly builds context across revenue-driving and operational functions, and takes pride in building high-quality pipelines that meaningfully improve hiring outcomes.

What We Value

Ownership: You take responsibility for pipeline health and hiring outcomes. You don’t wait for direction — you identify gaps, adjust strategy, and keep momentum moving.

Partnership: You work directly with recruiters and engineering leaders to shape search strategy and calibrate roles. You bring market perspective, ask thoughtful questions, and build credibility through insight and follow-through.

High standards with real output: You know strong sourcing requires both quality and consistency. You generate meaningful pipeline while staying thoughtful about who you’re reaching and why.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and lead sourcing strategy across GTM and business operations functions, building high-quality pipelines through proactive outreach and thoughtful inbound candidate review.
  • Flex into full-cycle ownership of select roles as needed, while maintaining sourcing excellence as the core focus of the role.
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to define strong candidate profiles, identifying relevant experience, business impact, and performance indicators for each role.
  • Conduct structured talent mapping across target companies and markets to identify high-performing revenue and operational talent.
  • Proactively identify and engage passive talent through thoughtful, highly personalized outreach across multiple channels.
  • Conduct exploratory conversations to assess track record, problem-solving scope, and alignment before formal recruiter handoff.
  • Continuously refine sourcing approaches based on data, conversion rates, and market feedback.
  • Provide real-time insights on talent availability, compensation expectations, competitive hiring activity, and role calibration.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-potential GTM and operations talent — even when no immediate role is open.
  • Maintain clean, structured pipeline data and share insights that improve sourcing efficiency and hiring quality.
What We’re Looking For
  • 5–7+ years of experience in sourcing or recruiting across GTM and business operations functions (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Business Operations, Strategy, Finance, Legal, or People), with significant depth in proactive sourcing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and convert high-quality pipelines across a range of non-technical roles.
  • Strong ability to assess candidate scope, business impact, and performance history across both revenue-generating and operational functions.
  • Proven track record of engaging passive talent in competitive markets through thoughtful, personalized outreach.
  • Experience partnering closely with recruiters and hiring managers as a sourcing lead and strategic thought partner.
  • Prior full-cycle recruiting experience, with the ability to independently own roles when business needs require it.
  • Strong written communication skills and a high bar for candidate experience.
  • Highly organized, data-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple searches and long-term talent pipelines simultaneously.

Logistics
  • Hours: Full time - 40 hours/week
  • Location: Remote, located in the US
  • Contract: 6-months, with possible extension
  • Compensation: $70 USD/hour
