As a 1099 Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in recruiting frontline community health professionals who directly impact communities across the United States. You will be supported a growing talent acquisition team and collaborate closely with HR and hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment and onboarding process.
Sourcing & Recruiting
- Source, attract, screen and hire candidates for frontline community health roles across the U.S., including Community Health Workers, Care Navigators, Case Managers, and similar positions.
- Create job listings in Workable and manage applicant pipelines.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-volume and recurring roles
- Conduct phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, availability, and cultural fit and make recommendations about whether to move candidates forward.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within our Applicant Tracking System (Workable)
- Close 8-10 roles per month.
Candidate & Hiring Manager Support
- Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers
- Serve as a primary point of contact for applicants throughout the hiring process, ensuring a positive candidate experience
- Perform thorough reference checks and summarize findings for hiring managers
- Assist with offer letter preparation and pre-employment documentation
Onboarding Support
- Partner with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to Day 1
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree
- 1–2 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or HR coordination
- Prior recruiting experience in healthcare, community health, or social services roles
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting fundamentals, from intake through offer/close
- Experience managing multiple requisitions simultaneously
- Experience sourcing candidates using Indeed, LinkedIn, or similar job boards and resume databases
- Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) with strong data hygiene
- Interest in community health, healthcare access, or social services
- Authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- High-volume and/or geographically distributed recruiting experience
- Experience using Workable ATS
- Familiarity with Community Health Worker (CHW) certification basics
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
