We are seeking experienced Contracting Attorneys to join a 1-month Commercial Contracting AI Fellowship. This opportunity is designed for legal professionals with deep expertise in SaaS contract review, negotiation, and redlining who are interested in shaping how advanced AI systems are trained and applied in real-world legal workflows.

As a SaaS Contracting Attorney – AI Fellow, you will contribute directly to improving next-generation legal AI by evaluating model outputs, simulating contract negotiations, and providing expert insights that enhance accuracy, risk assessment, and legal reasoning.


Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises, evaluating AI-generated suggestions for legal accuracy and risk identification
  • Review AI responses to commercial contract scenarios and provide structured, actionable feedback
  • Assess SaaS agreements for clarity, compliance, and potential legal risks
  • Collaborate with product and research teams to refine training datasets, annotation standards, and best practices for AI-driven contract review
  • Help improve the quality and reliability of AI systems used in legal contracting workflows

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • Minimum 3+ years of in-house experience in technology transactions
  • Strong expertise in SaaS contract review, negotiation, and redlining
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate legal expertise into clear, structured feedback
  • Interest in legal innovation and the application of AI in law
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in dynamic environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with AI, legal tech, or data annotation projects
  • Expertise in risk mitigation strategies within SaaS contracts
  • Contributions to legal tech through publications, speaking engagements, or research

Compensation & Commitment

  • Compensation: $80–$105 per hour
  • Engagement Type: Part-time, contract
  • Weekly Commitment: 5–20 hours (flexible schedule)
  • Duration: 1 month
