About the Role

A Control Systems Engineer will take the lead in designing, developing, and commissioning SCADA/BMS/EPMS systems for industrial applications. Expectation is this individual will oversee design, deployment and Cx of BMS and EPMS systems across multiple locations throughout the US and Europe. This senior-level role requires deep expertise in control systems designs, SOO development, System P&IDs, HMI requirements and system architecture design. The successful candidate will oversee complex control systems projects, provide technical guidance, and ensure that solutions meet both client requirements and industry standards.

Focus
  • Lead the conceptual design, development, and implementation of data center control systems, including Chilled Water, HVAC, Power Monitoring and Data Hall Monitoring.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers on the controls team.

  • Develop control system architectures, functional specifications, and detailed system designs.

  • Program and configure PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMIs to meet project requirements.

  • Develop standard SOOs, P&IDs, Sensor installation details, specifications and design templates.

  • Support control system simulations, factory acceptance testing (FAT), construction and commissioning activities at greenfield data center deployments.

About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial control systems engineering.

  • Extensive experience with PLCs, DCSs, SCADA systems, and industrial networks.

  • Proficiency in control system programming languages such as ladder logic, function block, and others.

  • Hands-on experience with major control system platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, etc).

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Nice to have
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

  • Experience in managing large-scale control system projects, from design through commissioning.

  • Experience with Revit or other 3D modelling software.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices.

  • Ability to stay current with emerging trends in industrial control and automation technologies.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
