JOB FUNCTIONS:
Primary Tasks
- Maintaining a maintenance database for generating work orders and PM's
- Maintain a Predictive Maintenance program
- Maintain a spare parts inventory for department to keep production machines running
- Maintain various building equipment ex: Boilers, Generator, Switch gear, Rest rooms, Compressors, and associated lines or wires, and control load balancing
- Maintain automated stations from robotics, Electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Oversee all aspects of the Continuous Improvement / Grow Committee
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot all plant PLC's
Additional Tasks:
- Keep records of all PM's and other documents for auditing purposes
- Assist Engineering Manager in the generation of ISO, and IATF documentation for quality reviews
- Maintain a performance metrics for the maintenance department
- Provide assistance when needed to Production and Quality departments regarding quality and performance issues
- Acquire information needed for various building projects, complete in house or contract source
- Work with and monitor any needed contractors various projects
- Be a contributing part of various teams, such as Ergo, Safety, Health
- Assist in determining tooling, fixturing, and equipment requirements
- Monitor training requirements and status, perform in-house training of personnel
- Responsible for environmental wastes, materials, and recycling
- Responsible for maintaining equipment downtime or uptime KPI's
- Assist Engineering Manager with supervision of Maintenance Technicians as needed
- Use appropriate PPE when necessary and ensure employees are wearing appropriate PPE when necessary
- Cooperate with outside inspectors and auditors (IATF/ISO, OSHA, Magna, etc.) when necessary
- Knowledgeable of safety and shop rules and enforce fairly
- Advise employees of the existence of known potential or actual danger to the health or safety of the employee
- Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace, including responsibility for visitors and general public in the workplace
- Complete all accident reports and investigations in timely manner
- Correct unsafe acts and work conditions in timely manner
- Oversee NFPA 70 compliance
- All duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Qualifications:
- A four (4) year degree in Engineering, and 5 years of maintenance experience
- Proficient in the Windows software suite, and various maintenance software
- Have knowledge of various electronics, ex: PLC's VFD's
- Superior level of analytical ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop resolutions
- High level of interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and present information to suppliers, management, employees, and corporate personnel
