Why would you love this job?

We are looking for a full-time Corporate Counsel to work for our growing Legal team.

As our Corporate Counsel you will be responsible for a generalist portfolio of corporate matters such as entity management, US state filings, audit inquiries, corporate policies, insurance coverage oversight, commercial negotiation, corporate litigation and disputes, intellectual property work, and ensuring compliance with global and local laws and regulations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Our ideal candidate is a strong individual who can demonstrate experience in a multinational setting, navigating various cultures, with particular focus on mitigating risk while helping a scaling company reach its objectives. You must have high integrity, good judgment, strong technical and business acumen, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to operate in a fast paced, complex environment. Comfort with legal tech and AI tools is required.

If you provide business-oriented, practical legal advice at all levels of a fast paced, global organization, then this is the right challenge for you.

What you'll do:

  • Support corporate governance activities, resolutions, consents, minutes, and maintenance of corporate records across Redis's global subsidiary structure.

  • Manage entity formation, qualification, and ongoing maintenance for domestic and international subsidiaries.

  • Assist with securities law compliance, investor communications, and preparation for potential future public company obligations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, tax, people operations, and business leadership, to efficiently resolve corporate, compliance, and operational matters.

  • Assist with M&A, strategic investments, and other corporate transactions, including due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents (LOIs, NDAs, purchase agreements, ancillary closing documents), and post-closing integration.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining corporate policies, delegation of authority frameworks, and internal governance processes to scale with Redis's growth.

  • Draft and review corporate-related agreements, including intercompany agreements, joint venture documents, and strategic partnership arrangements.

  • Support complex deal closures by reviewing, advising, and negotiating a variety of sales agreements, including enterprise commercial licenses (SaaS and On-Prem), data processing agreements (GDPR, CCPA), professional services, channel partner, and non-disclosure agreements.

  • Support financing transactions, including venture debt and credit facility negotiations.

  • When appropriate, manage relationships with external legal counsel.

What will you need to have?

  • JD from a recognized university, and admission to a State Bar.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience practicing law at a law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on corporate, transactional, or securities work.

  • A mix of M&A, corporate governance, and general corporate experience is ideal.

  • Familiarity with Delaware corporate law and standard private company governance practices.

  • Ability to identify risk exposures in corporate transactions and provide practical, creative solutions that support growth.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and client interaction skills.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines.

  • Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor.

Extra great if you have:

  • Prior in-house experience is preferred

  • Experience with technology company M&A or venture-backed company transactions

  • Exposure to IPO readiness, SEC reporting, or public company governance

  • Familiarity with international subsidiary management and cross-border corporate structuring

We give back to our employees:

Our culture is what makes Redis a fun and rewarding place to work. To support you at work and beyond, we offer all our US team members fantastic benefits and perks:

  • Competitive salaries and equity grants

  • Unlimited time off to promote a healthy work-life balance

  • Frequent team celebrations and recreation events

  • Learning and development opportunities

  • Ability to influence a high-performance company on its way to IPO

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $145,000 – $170,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies.
