About the Team
Are you a problem solver who likes focusing on contracts and improving processes in a fast-growing company? Outreach’s Legal team is hiring! We're a growing team that supports the entire organization from Sales and Marketing to HR, Finance, Product, Engineering and everything in between.
The Role
As Corporate Counsel you'll play a key role in our contract process, from negotiating with customers to ensuring documents are drafted and executed in compliance with company standards, as well as supporting our business’s purchasing needs with our vendor agreements.
Location: This could be a remote position within the US. #LI-Remote
Your Daily Adventures Will Include
- Negotiate, draft, and review commercial agreements, primarily customer SaaS agreements, non-disclosure agreements, data processing agreements, professional services agreements, marketing and event sponsorship agreements, and vendor purchase agreements
- Gather internal feedback from other reviewers in the customer and vendor contracting process – work with sales and business teams to identify requests and determine with internal departments the best approach to meeting those needs
- Review and implement ways to increase efficiency in contract workflow process
- Enforce organizational contract policies and procedures
- Assist in the evaluation and updating of company document templates
- Provide strategic and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders, and other departments as needed
- Partner with other cross-functional teams to address compliance, governance, and risk focus areas
- Complete other projects as requested
Our Vision Of You
- 3-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably with 1-2 years in-house
- Experience negotiating with customers and working directly with sales teams, preferably in the SaaS industry
- Experience negotiating with vendors and other suppliers
- Ability to spot issues and recommend practical business focused solutions
- Understand how to balance competing priorities
- Comfortable in a high growth dynamic, evolving environment
- High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and dedication to accuracy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating perseverance, humor, and dedication while displaying a strong backbone when needed
- J.D. or equivalent degree from accredited law school
- Active member of the bar in at least one state in the United States
- Proficiency with MS Office suite including advanced Word skills
- Interest or experience in privacy, artificial intelligence (AI), and other emerging SaaS product topics is a plus
