Position Summary

Reporting to the Principal, the Corporate Tax Manager will …. 

What will you do in this role?

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions for publicly traded and multinational corporations.
  • Analyze and document current and deferred tax positions, uncertain tax positions (FIN 48), valuation allowances, and effective tax rate reconciliations.
  • Prepare, review and validate tax provision workpapers, supporting schedules and tax-related financial reporting disclosures (Forms 10-K and 10-Q).
  • Evaluate and model the tax accounting impacts of business acquisitions, restructurings, and legal entity changes.
  • Prepare, review and oversee federal, state, and international corporate income tax returns and related workpapers.
  • Manage and review complex corporate tax returns engagements and related workpapers for multinational organizations.
  • Coordinate and monitor tax compliance across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
  • Understand tax compliance implications arising from foreign operations and cross-border transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client sponsors
  • Develop workforce through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff. 
  • Understand our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients with our comprehensive solutions. 
  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining, and training our team of up and coming professionals. 
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education. 
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and insightful recommendations surrounding a broad range of complex issues by leveraging expertise and experience. 

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
  • CPA or EA Certification highly preferred
  • 5+ years’ current public accounting experience. 
  • 2+ years’ experience leading teams, coaching, and mentoring staff. 
  • Solid understanding and application of ASC 740.
  • Excellent technical skills, especially in the area of US International Tax, as well as State and Federal Tax.
  • Proficiency with computerized tax software CorpTax and OneSource & Microsoft Office. 
  • Strong client rapport & project management skills. 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment. 
  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the salary range for this role is (Min) $101,430.74  (Mid) $131,250.37 (Max) $161,070.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
